Looking forward to Jets rematch

I dont want to even think about the Jets game right now.

Im grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for that game.

The Jets will be tougher to beat than the Steelers. Sanchez is coming into his own. Still think we'll pull it out though.

The game between the Jets and the Patriots will be amplified even more if both teams take care of business these next two games. Until then...

This will be my first pats game,i'm flying in from michigan too watch my pats for the first time live. I'm so excited hopefully they whip the crap out of the jets to make my first pats game special.:D

Jets play the Bungles at home on Thanksgiving.
Something tells me that BB gets more out of the extra 4 days than Rex Ryan will.

I saw this thread earlier, and finally clicked on it for the first time just now. I guess I am in the minority, but the game against the Jets is about the furthest thing from my mind in regards to the Pats. Between the Cleveland game, the Steelers game, and now the upcoming Colts game, I haven't thought one bit about the Jets vs Pats.

Again, I guess I'm in the minority but I don't know why I would be thinking about the Pats-Jets three weeks from now when what has in the last decade been the biggest game of the NFL season - the Pats vs the Colts - is four and a half days away.

NE needs to surprise them with something never seen before from this NE offense. In that past, NY knew what to expect. Make the Jets defense have to think instead of reacting to what theyve seen on film.

I'm looking forward to it primarily because I just got tickets to it this morning. I'm hoping for a real coming out party for the Pats, winning big over increasingly strong teams, Miami, Pittsburgh, Indy then the Jests!

I'm PSYCHED!

For those coming from out of town or those that have not been to a Monday night game: be sure to get there extra early (if you are planning to park and tailgate). The lots fill up much earlier than usual.

Now, get back to focusing on the Colts.

Do it.

Since Rex Ryan also has four extra days, would't be surprised if he meets his brother @ Cleveland for a Thanksgiving dinner and has a nice chat about the weather.

So, I am expecting a close game.

But heck - why am I looking forward? Let me hope that we get a solid W against the Colts first.

THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON FOR ME
1) the next game
2) division games, especially against rivals for the division

the gospel according to bill (and bill)

This game is huge.

Both the Pats and Jets should finish with 11-12 wins each. Winning the division should give that them a 1st round bye and send the other team on the road twice.

How do you guys feel that the Pats new offense matches up with the Jets defense?

I just sincerely hope that the Jets win their next two games at home vs the Texans and the Bengals. Then we'll get into the matchups. After all, they'll be eleven days in between games for all of us to get it all out of our system.

Last time, you guys went into more of a coverage-based defense in the second half and that threw Brady off. You better hope that you didn't blow your wad on that one because Brady will definitely be prepared for that possibility now. Our new (old) style of offense, if executed properly, will have the same effect as it's had on other overly-aggressive defenses that we've played, such as the Ravennes and the Squealers. The only thing that gives me pause is the fact that the Jets have a better secondary than both of those teams, IMO. Especially Pittsburgh.

Either way, though, this game should decide the division.

lol, chill out with the "one game at a time" talk, we ain't coaches who are supposed to be preparing for the Colts. We're just fans, and its perfectly fine for some of us (me being one of them) to be looking ahead to the Jets after that ugly week 2 performance. Even on the West coast, everyone has that obnoxious Jets fan he knows who still acts like the Jets won the superbowl week 2.

The Jets rematch will be a hell of a lot less of a "look to" game if the Patriots drop the next two games and the Jets beat both the Texans and Bengals. This week, it's the Colts. Why bother looking past Manning/Brady?

For me it boils down to this:

I respect the Colts and the Pats competing against them excites me. I look forward to that game because I think they're a good organization and largely their players don't talk trash to the media about our team.

I loathe the Jets and all of their unwarranted trash talk. I don't like their culture, their overrated QB or their fat, mouthy head coach. I want the Pats to embarrass them.

So while I look forward to the Colts game, they're a peer, not the jokers that need to be put back in their place.

I say punch those whiny rats from New Jersey in the mouth.

I am not looking ahead to the Jets game for one reason.

This Pats team is very young and developing every week into what they "Will be" later. To judge the game now would be premature.

I am perfectly content in just looking at the Colts now. I'll know what I expect to see when that time comes against the Jets.
