McNabb isn't worth $40M guaranteed. However, the length is not a big deal. He is about the same age as Brady and Manning (within a year of each).

The only thing I can think of is that Snyder/Shanahan got scared because some idiot media members played the race card and are trying to show its not true? Shanny should have his out after pulling dante instead of playing him the 2 minute drill. For the foreseeable future McNabb is the face of the franchise. Shanny will get used to it or someone else will.

Redskins ownership may be nuts but they do own the team. McNabb can provide stability.

The reality is that Washington is in the division race, having ZERO losses to the top teams, and having beaten Philly once.

Perhaps there was a locker room or player-coach issue.

Redskins ownership may stink, but it's their money and this was their way of supporting their quarterback and their offense. There's something to be said for that.
