I hate this. I'm sick of hearing the knee jerk reactions. Plain and simple, media personalities cannot look at a whole career and can only see the last game. Is Brady better than Manning? Maybe, but it's not because of yesterday alone.

In '07, almost every media figure said that Brady was a better quarterback than Manning. In '09, in the midst of a tough season by Brady (which was still great statistically), they voted for the better QB, and Manning won 22-7. If they had this vote today, Brady would win. Why? Because people only remember the last thing they saw.

I think Brady is the greatest quarterback of all-time. Why?

242/103 TD/INT ratio. I don't need to add in the "clutch" argument. Statistically Brady is the best quarterback ever. If you want to get into intangibles, good luck in arguing for anyone other than Montana.

Who cares what morons opine? Manning is a legit GOAT candidate although likely not. The fact that these 2 consistently good, winning QBs get to face each other continuously makes the 21st Century NFL the premier entertainment spectacle that we should all be thankful for experiencing.

Given the Pats mediocre at best initial 40 years, these are truly the best of times. Savor this next week building up to another epic battle.

I hate Colin Cowherd too, but it's not like he's making some ridiculous point.

Sometimes, I read things on other MBs by other fans that surprise even me. Take this from a longtime ExtremeSkins poster:

eh. I basically think it's funny how the New England Pats started off as underdog darlings but meet with a little success and they become everyone's anti-Christ. Nevermind that the Colts won the SB because Bill Polian leveraged his spot on the competition committee into whining about pass defense and took the NFL further into flag football territory. And never mind anyone that it is Manning and not Brady who has thrown teammates 'under the bus' after losses in the playoffs and that while Brady has had his share of playoff lapses of late, that it is Manning who finds a way to come up small in the biggest games or the big moments of the big games (still a hell of a QB and I'd love to have him here.)

That's such a refreshing thing to read when usually all these guys do is make lame "videotape" references when it comes to us.

These are great stats to add to the argument in Brady's favor. I'd also add Brady's playoff stats vs Manning's playoff stats. I don't have the current stats handy, but it does favor Brady. I think we should just accept, and enjoy, that we are seeing two generational talents at the same time. I have to admit, what Manning is doing this year, is very impressive, with the amount of injuries that have hit that team. To be 5-3 with all the injuries they have, very impressive. Reminds me of Brady's 2006 season.
