The missed extra point and the FG which was good but not exactly powerful and a bit on the wounded duck movement through the uprights has me feeling a little worried about a game that will be closer and that Graham may have to kick a 45 yarder or so to win a game maybe as early as next week.

Anyone else here sweating FGs in the upcoming games should they be close ones?

I miss Gostkowski,I never really had many worries of consistency ,even if he shanked one every now and then.

Yes, its early but I wouldn't trust him with the game from outside of 30 yards.

Definitely...I am feeling like the loss of Gostkowski was a huge one. We'll miss those booming kickoffs, consistent field goals. You never really had to worry about Gostkowski potentially losing us a game.

Nervous? I'm scared s***less.

I'm more concerned about his kickoffs combined with our suddenly shaky kickoff coverage. Still, if we have to win a game with his foot in the playoffs (or regular season) I don't know if I will be able to watch. Pucker factor will be high.

Anyone recall how far back we were when we went for it on 4th and 6?

He has a higher career field goal percentage than Gostkowski and Vinatieri and kicked a 53 yard field goal last year.

I've been nervous about every field goal ever since Vinatieri left. I like Gostkowski but while it may not be true it seems to me like most of his field goals attempts travel diagonally instead of straight. Seems like no matter the distance it's always "whew he just made it". Maybe just in my head but I didn't have that fear when Vinatieri was kicking, as far back as his rookie season in '96 (and the confidence was strengthened by the 2001 season). But yeah Graham, I'm a bit nervous because even though I remember him with the Bengals, I'm not sure what to expect. I don't hold the missed extra point against him though, that was a bad snap. But I am worlds more nervous about him than I was about Gostkowski, and I don't like what I've seen from Graham as far as kickoffs go.

Well there is a reason why he was unemployed until last week

He has played well in the past but unemployed kickers into week 8 have me wondering why and how he was not able to get signed and that shaky FG and missed PAT didn't help me in gaining my trust he can do it when it counts...especially when the white stuff starts to fall

A nice few kickoffs next week and a 50 yard field goal will get me to a little more comfort level with Shayne

What would it take for a guy we picked up in an emergency not to make you nervous, a bionic leg with laser range finder?

A guy who doesn't miss an XP in his 1st game with the team

I`m going to be very honest.

that would be absolutely amazing to see. think about it a robot leg and right before the kick you see a laser pop out of the dudes shoulder or something

That would be great...can we get one of those guys? :horn::horn:

By the words of PJ..sign the bionic beast

Well, if they're going to operate on Gostkowski [], maybe they can do an add-on. ;)

It would be pretty cool. Still, in an emergency, I'd probably take a kicker with the 6th best field goal percentage in NFL history. The bionic leg could always short circuit.

Don't forget the new snapper, if you need something to worry about.

i was nervous at first, but then i wasn't nervous. now i'm back to being a little nervous. i thought that xp was going to come back to haunt us.
