What are you talking about. The Pats are not going to lose another game. They are the best team in the league. At least until they lose again and then they suck and will go 8-8.

You're saying that past performance is not indicative of future results? Why didn't my investment advisor ever tell me anything like that? :)

Re: Word of Advice to the Next Person Who Attempts to Forecast based on Last Performa

BTW, tonight's game is a reason why stats are useless in football. You look at the Pats' defensive stats tonight and you would have thought they were killed all game.

Please negative to positive posts in the game thread were running somewhere between 2-1 to 3-1. some don't understand that perfection is near impossible even with Brady and Bill.

At 7-2 my guess of 11-5 is still looking good ... hope I'm wrong though and that 5 is a 4 or 3.

Truer words were never said. Amazing Not just in this game. Even more amazing was the Dallas Giants game. Was there ever a surer bet than the Giants at home in that game. How can you figure.

Lets just be thankful for the win and lets get on to the game that REALLY matters, the Colts at home.

It should have been evident to EVERYONE since Week Three this year that predicting this crazy 2010 in the NFL is like trying to consume chickenbroth with a three prong fork.

I'm constantly amazed the past month how much certitude I see here on this website from our prognosticators.

Would LOVE to hear from Sean Pa Patriot and FCB0206 tonight!

I was pretty proud of the board's response after the Browns loss. The Jets loss was about as bad as it can get. I was about to start a suicide prevention thread.

Will do, but the more negative i am the better this team plays :D

Keep it up! If I see you predict a win I'm going to explode.

I was wrong about the game but you really have to see that the team that plays with more intensity usually wins the game most of the time

You can't see intensity and urgency in the stat books and in a teams record, that's what makes EVERY game in the NFL so unpredictable

Anyone watching this game could see the Steelers looking as flat emotionally as NE did last week....Don't bring your A game and you lose, bottom line

Sean had all possible outcomes covered...LOL Wanted a win, predicted a loss, but could see a win unless they lost...Now he wants Brady proclaimed MVP...this week. But i'm sure the sucky 4th quarter defensive collapse the refs helped engineer gave him the runs...

Now ya tell me...I could've used you in the Predict the Score thread.

Re: Word of Advice to the Next Person Who Attempts to Forecast based on Last Performa

This OL will get Brady killed on Sunday. It could very well be ugly from start to finish

Idiots ignore things like a defense ranked in the top 5 in just about every aspect on defense vs. A defense ranked in the bottom tier area giving up 400 yards of offense a game and has been horrid on the road much of the past 2 seasons. It all equals a very likely ugly game for the NE pats unless PItt gives us the game on turnovers.

IMO NE has no chance to win this weekend unless Pitt loses the game by giving the ball away ...straight up without turnovers and this game is a mismatch. If Pitt loses they will have lost the turnover battle, that's the only way NE walks out with a win on the road

You're really expecting a win tonight for the pats? I'm just saying the Jets are moving the ball a lot better than the patriots were.

I'm just not naive enough to suggest the patriots will tonight. They could, but it will take at least 3 TOs by Pitt

brady has looked so eh this year

Whats going to suck tho is when the Jets blow out Cleveland and we lose to Pitt and fall a game behind

B.Steelers are a much better team and Brady is banged up. I would like for them to win..just not going to happen

Looks like colts and pats will both be 6-3 going into next week...

this is going to make tonights loss that much worse...

It sucks that they Pats lost because they are going to end up dropping the next 2 in a row to make in 3 losses in a row..first time in light years it seems....then they beat lions and jets...just no way they can beat pitts D if brady struggled vs browns LOL

LOL indeed!

So far I've had the Pats losing the rest of their games twice and winning the Superbowl seven times.......all based on scientific data:eek:

Re: Word of Advice to the Next Person Who Attempts to Forecast based on Last Performa

I heard onthe radio the Pats and BB are 24-2 after a lost.
Nuff said.

Re: Word of Advice to the Next Person Who Attempts to Forecast based on Last Performa

I forecast that they will win every week ... there's little downside to being wrong ... actually picking them to win every week would make you right more than any other homer fan since 1993. :D
