the refs are HORRIBLE. Every foul is on the Celtics and LaFraud is aloud to just bowl people over with no repercussions. WTF

the heat arent even the second best team in the eastern confrence. hype hype hype.

So, uh, what's you guys' countdown until Pat Riley assumes coaching duties again?

I was thinking the same thing, I don't think i've ever seen such horrible referring. I think the NBA wants Miami to win, a lot of Miami merchandise would be sold

Yeah that crap was totally bogus....Even if the C's players were backing off he would jump into them and get the call....I loved it though when Shaq basically said if you want to get fouled here you go and just leveled LBJ.....I hope Shaq does this periodically without getting into trouble for it and it will hopefully make other teams think twice on driving down the lane....Anyways the C's own the Heat....I love it.....

Well, TNT must be counting down - they only had 864 cutaways to Riley last nite.

I agree with the brutality of the officiating last night. It truly is a joke what Lebron gets away with. He's playing under different rules than anyone else. This guy lacks a single basketball move that does not incorporate a violation in it, and that's probably why I have - and did so long before it was in fashion - ZERO respect for his game.

That said, the C's overcame. They are really clicking right now. I don't expect all of the big 4 to continue playing at such a high level throughout the season, but it has to make you feel good to see KG and Pierce play far better than they did last season.

And Rondo. Well, obviously, I think this guy is the man. In past years, some people might have thought I was a homer when I'd say there is literally not another PG I'd rather have on this team, but now I mean it more than ever. CP3, Deron, I don't care who you throw out there - nobody in the league is able to create shots for his team the way Rondo is, and its not even close right now. And what he does on defense is dynamic. Legitimate MVP candidate right now.

Barkley said on the halftime show that the countdown was on and even placed a stop watch on the table in front of him to symbolize it. The Heat didn't look like they even cared too much about the game last night. That they more or less just thought they could show up and that would be enough. Sadly, that's the way they've looked all season. That would be a coaching error. If they don't start playing with some fire soon then I think Riley will be back in sooner rather than later.

As for Rondo, if he had a consistent jumpshot, he would EASILY be the best PG in the league.

Can Riley make them tougher or get them to play defense. :nono:

Seriously ... can MeBron learn to play without the ball?

Reminds me in some ways of Pierce and Walker ... neither one could play without the ball back then. the Celtics were good but not great because the point forward idea does not work, it makes the floor stagnant of movement.

Can mebron play off of Wade for an entire season?

Can Bosh learn to bang?

The Heat can go all the way if:

Wade is the PG ... oh he thinks he's a shooting guard.

LeBron is a PF ... a real PF ... like Karl Malone was ... leBron is a sissy ... prefers SF.

Bosh becomes the SF ... he sucks as a PF and he has no clue how to play with 2 ball hogs.

that's it for now ... 3 very good players and all three playing out of position.

The thing is LeBron only looks like a ballhog when he plays the C's, for some reason. He leads the team in assists by quite a comfortable margin. When Wade stalled and had a poor shooting night Thursday, it was apparent that LeBron needed to take over.

And yeah, I think Riley taking over would be just what the doctor ordered when it comes to mental and physical toughness.

Actually, if Rondo had a consistent jump shot he would be the MVP of the league. He still needs to develop that shot, but is so good at everything else (including defense which some point guards don't have at all) that he is the best overall point guard. It took DJ years to develop his shot, yet that didn't stop Red from acquiring him as he knew how valuable he was.

Absolutely right about LeBron - he's only been taking about 15 shots a game. Wade seems to be taking just as many shots as always. I think LeBron might even be checking his ego a bit - which is both good and bad depending on the game situation, but I think that bodes well long term.

Whether Wade can share the ball a bit more may be the bigger question. Bosh - I don't know what to say about him but he's a big man who doesn't bang - that might not be the wisest money spent.

The best news for Miami is that they seem committed to playing better defense. I'd have to think that in the course of the season they'll get the offense figured out. If they were playing bad D and bad O it would be a big red flag, but good D is a huge accomplishment at this stage and will be vital in the playoffs.

I guess the Celtics game was pretty physical. In last night's game against the Raptors, Wade was wearing a full sleeve over his right arm and shoulder. When asked about it, Wade said, "physical game, man".

This is why I have trouble watching pro basketball. No other sport gives referees so much control over a game. College hoops is hard enough to watch sometimes *cough*DUKE*cough*. The pros just seem rigged as all hell.

That being said, I hope Lebron never wins a championship ever. The guy is a straight up douche for how he handled leaving Cleveland.
