It wasn't necessarily that serious; it could just be that BB felt that putting Gostkowski on IR and finishing the season with Graham was a better move than cutting/IRing someone at another position.

One last note, though: if there were any possibility that they could rush him back too early and cause even bigger problems down the line, I'm all for this (much as it pains me to say it). I want to see Gostkowski still rocking the Flying Elvis in 2020.

He had a tight thigh, so he is out for the season.
Taylor has a hurt toe, so he's essentially been out for the season so far too.
I sure hope someone doesn't come down with a cold or something, they might be forced to retire!!!

I don't recall him being hit in game and they said at the time he had a quad injury... You don't IR your kicker you just signed to a long term deal just to avoid waivers on player 53...

He didn't look great out of the gate this year on the heels of his extension. Then he got a lot better in a hurry. Maybe this was the price he paid for having to play in season catch up...


It's a little concerning that with the exception of one glorious week, ST hasn't looked all that special again this season...
