disturbing stat;

according to the stat sheet, the Patriots didn’t register a quarterback hit.

Sacks are nice, but that front 7 needs to atleast hit the QB once in awhile.....:bricks:

To be fair, though, the Browns have one of the best offensive lines in football. Add to that a mobile quarterback on top of a dominating run game on top of an offense that isn't really going into the shotgun when they DO throw, and you get a situation where it's next to impossible to touch the quarterback.

I'm certainly not excusing our defense. I don't think the pass rush is as bad as some people make it out to be. But it can CERTAINLY stand to improve. Today is one of the days where they could have stood to improve, though I can see why we weren't able to touch McCoy at the same time.

Both Bedard and Price spent part of their post-game articles talking about the problems with the receiving corps. Perhaps those getting out pitchforks for O'Brien and Brady could read a bit first....

Shades of 2006?

Not a bad write-up. I preferred BB's analysis from the post-game press conference:

"We didn't do a good job on anything today. Pick any subject you want and say ‘How did it go?' and it wasn't very good."

Bill Belichick Postgame Press Conference - 11/7/2010

Pretty much sums it up.
