OT: Channing Crowder claims he got spit on, calls refs as blind as Anne Frank

I just got told not to talk about it, so I can't talk about it. But Le'Ron McClain spit in my face. He spit in my face. That's some real ****. So if you talk to him, tell him he's a *****. And if he ever comes to Miami, he's got to see me.

Then they said something about they let Karlos Dansby get away with a facemask the play before. Who the **** cares? A guy just spit in my face! I don't give a damn about Karlos pulling somebody's facemask. Like they didn't see Chad Henne get hit twice when he slid. Yeah, a little Stevie Wonder and Anne Frank.

A confused media member asked for clarification, to which he responded..

Who was that? Is that the blind girl? Helen Keller? I don't know who the **** Anne Frank is. I'm mad right now. **** it. I'm not as swift as I usually am.

I actually saw this go down in between commercial breaks on the Pats game. Crowder wanted a time out and none of the referees were paying any attention to him. In order to get it, he ran through the Ravens LOS and frantically called timeout. As he was trying to walk away, McClain said something to encite him, Crowder turned around, they went helmet to helmet, then when they were being separated something happened and Crowder ran full speed at him (obviously infuriated). It took probably five of his teammates to hold him back. I've seen Crowder fired up before... but not like that. I wondered what McClain said at the time. No clue he actually spit on Crowder.

Derrick Mason really ripped into him after the game yesterday.

"The guy is horrible," Mason said. "Honestly, the guy is horrible. He's probably a good guy, not taking that away from him, but he's horrible. He's not a good football player. Honestly, he needs to go back and watch the film and humble himself and not say anything."

It looked like the Ravens were going after Crowder on downfield blocks with extra gusto.

"He deserved it," Mason said. "They told me at the end of the week they were going to get him back for me and they did. The guy was either on the ground or getting pushed out of bounds. Willis [McGahee] stiff-armed him and made him look like a fool. There comes a point in time when you're going to talk the talk, walk the walk . He figured he can talk his way through a game."

A dolphins linebacker not abel to back up his big mouth seems to be pretty common if you ask me. He has clearly been watching clerks 2 to make such a stupid comment he need to watch it a few times more to get it right though what a dumb***

I think it was a Freudian slip by Crowder. Anne Frank wrote a diary and Crowder apparently is illiterate, so that fueled his frustration.

Reminds me of the time the Patriots were playing the Steelers. Grogan said a lineman (forgot who it was) spit in his face. Grogan returned the favor but said he lost because he (Grogan) had brushed his teeth all week.

As much fun as it is to mock Crowder, I don't disagree with some of what he is saying here. I can't believe that a late hit wasn't called on Ray Lewis when he hit Henne. Henne was sliding legs first and had clearly ended the play when Lewis speared him.
