Mangini can only keep his job through a succession of scheme-based upsets. He's coming off a bye week. One time in his career, he completely outcoached and outschemed BB, and will surely be trying to do so again.

Danger, Will Robinson! :robot:

Cribbs is just the type of player that could make life difficult for the defense

I worry about him more than any other Brown

Wow, the game is not even an hour over, let's enjoy this for a few hours then think about the Browns...and that's meant as no slight to the Browns!

man do we get over wins fast, but dwell on losses a long time

Some fans can only see crap and happily walk through it ...

This thread is dumb ... clearly dumb.

every week some bozo posts the same "trap game!!!!" chicken little thread...like clockwork...it's like half our fanbase WANTS to lose all the time...really weird

If there is one team/media market this side of the NYJ who Bill loves to stick it to, it is Cleveland. No chance he lets them overlook this game.

Get over yourselves, jerks. If you disagree, fine, but no reason to psychoanalyze your fellow posters.

I just happen to have recently read articles suggesting that BB's assistants struggled without him and that a lot of coaches were trying to avoid getting fired.

I also vividly remember how Mangini wiped the floor with BB, one time only.

i think its the other way round. he is always respectful of the cleveland fans

Now that's a fair point!

The "Win it for me, against Cleveland and Mangini alike" shtick should work.

AHHHH! For cripes sake, can't we enjoy this win!!??

On one hand I do agree that after winning four straight games that before hand were considered difficult - Dolphins, Ravens, Chargers and Vikings - a game against the 2-5 Browns does sound like a trap game when you consider the following game is at Pittsburgh.

However, I will concur with others that as fans we can wait a little while before we look at the next game; let's celebrate this win for a little while.

Doesn't contradict the fact that he has that motivational tool in his belt.

Never said anything about the fans. But in both Education of a Coach and Patriot Reign the respective authors note how much disdain BB had for the Cleveland media. He doesn't forget.

Pats have been busting their arses winning very tough games against some very tough teams (regardless of their records) and need a refreshing blowout against a truly sucky team like the Browns and Mangina. BB started planning for this game last February. Are you kidding me? TRAP?

No it goes like this.

If the team is good, we are doomed.
If the team is on a winning streak, we are doomed.
If the team has a bad record, they really need the game and we are doomed.
If the team has a losing streak, they are due and its a must win, and we are doomed.
If none of the above apply, its a trap game and we are doomed.

it's like when they race to be the first to post.

Grown men ... making fools of themselves for notoriety.

Are you sure?

When BB benched Kosar, his kids were threatened at school and BB had to have round the clock police protection at his house.

Browns fans are some of the most miserable people on the planet. They make Jets fans look like optimists.

Perhaps Ian should just have these threads started automatically after each game. The next game is always a trap game, and the team plays one game at a time.
