Sorry to ask this question on a very important game day v the Vikings but I just had to know if I am right. Wanted to know the score on Game 3 of the World Series so I logged on Yahoo sports and read the article and score written by Ben Walker. So I read about how the game went and way down in the article, he mentions the no team in World Series ever came back from 3-0 down,,, so the Texans don't have to try that !! Now I may come from the Middle East from a small Kingdom of Bahrain,, but didn't the Red Sox come back from 3-0 down against the Yankees ?. If so I just want to ask how can a sports guy write such a huge mistake ? Just have to know if I am right, so sorry to ask again dear friends. Now let's knock Favre around and get to 6-1 . GO PATS. Abdul.

world series...no one has ever come back down 3-0 in the world series...the Sox /Yanks was the ALCS

Definitely OT—although I'll leave it to someone with a little more experience to figure out where it should go.

You're correct in noting that the Red Sox came back from a three-games-to-none deficit against the Yankees. However, Walker's article is also correct in noting that it didn't happen in the World Series. The Yankees and Red Sox cannot play each other in the WS, because they're both in the AL. The series in question was in fact the 2004 AL Championship Series.

In some ways, I suspect the 2004 ALCS will become a lot like the "Miracle on Ice" game—it will be considered to be a championship, even though it wasn't. (The Miracle on Ice game was one of the Olympic semifinals.)

Thanks Joker, guess I better stick to the NFL ! Cheers

Hey Cheese, always wanted to go to Harvard, ended up in London , U.K. And loved watching the 1985 Team, especially the AFC. Game in Miami. Grogan and Irving Fryar were my fav. players. Rest history.

If you go back and read the stuff they write after the events they write about then they become exposed for the non experts that many of them are.

Outside of the fact that they get access to the stadiums and players many of these people know little more about the sport than many fans do. They are often more wrong than the average fan.

In the old days writers and reporters would check their facts but now with so much info out there they don't worry about being wrong because many forget what they wrote about before.
