The maps themselves are not up to look at yet, but they do have a preliminary list of stations that will be carrying the Pats game next week. As of right now it looks like the Pats will be on TV everywhere with the exception of these stations and their markets:

Obviously some of those stations may change their minds between now and Sunday, but for the moment it looks like almost everybody will get to watch the Pats play on Sunday.

Thom Brenaman and Troy Aikman will announce the Pats-Vikings game.
Kenny Albert and Darryl Johnston will announce the Jets-Packers game.
Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcotts will announce the Miami-Bengals game.

Also, looking ahead to week 9, CBS has listed the announcers for the Pats at Cleveland will be Bill Macatee and Rich Gannon.

What are the rules on 1:00 games when the home team is on at 4? IIRC, Fox doesn't get to show a 1:00 game in the Boston market this week? I was hoping to toggle Jets on Fox and 'Phins on CBS. I guess RedZone makes that less important, though it's nice to stick with one game for a while now and then.

Or I could just, you know, rake leaves.

Fox has the doubleheader, so they do get to show two games this week.

What you're thinking of is the rule that when a team is playing at home and the game is sold out, no other games can be shown at the same time. That's why there's never any other games on at 1:00 when the Pats are kicking off at their normal time (1:00) in Foxboro.

However, since the Pats game is at 4:00, that rule would only apply to another game being televised at 4:00 this week. If this week was a CBS doubleheader rather than a Fox doubleheader, then CBS wouldn't be able to show a late game in New England.

Edit: Bottom line is that those two early games will both be on TV in New England: Dolphins on CBS and Jets on Fox. The leaves can wait.

Cool; thanks. I'll tell my wife about the leaves ...

The Favrkings are the only team that add more pull to a national audience than do the Pats right now, and only because of his use of texting technology.

sorry to ask but does the pats game show in Tampa, FL ? didnt really understand the listings:D

Ah the media and the masses. Jim Morrison was extremely popular after his arrest too....

Sorry to say, but no.

The Bucs are away so they won't be blacked out; they're on at the same time as the Pats; and they're on the same network as the Pats. So the Fox station in Tampa (along with Fox stations in Orlando, Fort Myers and Panama City) will be among a select group of only seven television stations nationwide that will show the Bucs game rather than the Pats game.

If the Pats game had been on at 1:00 you would have been able to watch at home.

But hey, if you stay at home rather than go out to one of the Pats bars in Tampa then you do get to watch the team that is "the best team in the NFC" according to Raheem Morris.

I'm just glad Gus Johnson isn't announcing the Pat's Game. I can't stand him.

hahaha dying at Raheem Morris and his antics, c'mon man lol. it sucks, i was so spoiled with Direct TV then i moved a week ago and was told that they couldnt find a strong enough signal for my new place. So i had to get Verizon instead

:(

i may go to Boston's or another sports bar, thanks bro.

He yells too much and emphasizes things too much.

my kinda announcer.

in any case, it's good that he tries to carve out his own style rather than sound like everybody else.

Thanks.

That's about as close to a "National" telecast as I've seen for a regular season game.

Thanks, Ron.

I'll be in Anaheim CA this weekend, so the Pats game having a 4pm ET start is both good news & bad news.

The good: I won't have to wake up early to watch it.

The bad: I'm supposed to bring the kids to DisneyLand for its Halloween celebration, starting at 4pm PT,
so now I'm really hoping that the result will already be ass-umed by the time I have to go.

Now that I've thought about it, I'd rather have seen the game start at 1pm ET.

Great...stupid Seahawks.

Oh well, looks like I'll be out in the shop listening to Sirius or just say "screw it" and go hunting instead.

Map is up. Normally for Raiders home games they color it for Oakland in the SF Bay Area on Wednesday, with things likely to change Thursday or Friday due to no sellout. This week they are so sure of no sellout that they didn't even bother with the Oakland color and went straight to Minn/NE.

Second Pats game of the year on local TV for me (aside from prime time games)! It's these little things I enjoy.

Regards,
Chris

Weird that they're not showing our game on the506's maps. I was able to check the television schedule on my cable, though, and they are showing it throughout South Florida.

It's funny, I used to ponder these maps every week to see what games I would get (besides of course the Patriots). Now with NFL RedZone I don't care what games are on, I get them all. Of course now watching a Sunday or Monday night game is unbearable with all the commercials. On a Sunday I can go from 1:00 to sometimes past 7:30 WITHOUT seeing a commercial and 6+ hours of football! I wish I had RedZone for this week's tailgate...
