I've never bought an NFL jersey before but am considering it . . . I am about a 38" waist and with sweatshirts I can be a little in between, a touch big for large but XL can often look like a tent on me.

Are NFL jerseys on the bigger end or smaller or is there no way to know without buying and trying ?

Thanks.

Generally bigger but take a look at this Football Jersey Size Chart - ****'s Sporting Goods

Caution Authentic Jersey's run really BIG

Imo.... Authentic Jersy's are a waste of $$$$ and they cost a couple hundred bucks.

Replica's= realistic choice and do not run super big like their expensive counterparts.

I am in a Large Replica

I am 6ft 210lbs - I also have big shoulders .

hope I could help.

I'm a large in replica and I'm about 5'9" 180, but I also wear jerseys baggy. If you want to go the fake authentic route, ecseller has the best fakes Pats jerseys I've seen and the sizing is the same.

Ecseller??? I must look into this.....

My last Jersey for a decade will be a Hernandez Home one.:)

sizes are same???? They look good??

edit- not much variety on that site :(

I'm a pretty fit 5'10, 170 pound 22-year old... and I find even a small fits too baggy. In other words... their sizing system is crazy.

Thanks, it sounds like a L has a decent chance for me. I'm 6' 185 (+/- 5) and would wear a thin undershirt under it, it sounds like the Reebok Replica I was looking at on the internet would probably work. I've never had a jersey before but my 10 year old wants a Brady jersey so I may do a father/son Brady jersey thing for Christmas.

I find with Reebok, that what is a medium one year size wise, will feel like a large the next year. I'm 5'11, 140lbs and go for anything medium and under. Mind you that I got a home Welker youth large off eBAY last month for $10 and it fits perfectly on me.

It all depends how you want your jersey to fit.
