He played alot towards the end. I thought he looked good on the Mike Wright sack. But at times it looked like he was man handled.

It's more from him than we expected in July

This is, essentially, Crable's rookie year. The last two years, he's gotten real game reps. The fact that the Pats brought him back to the PS (when he got healthy) and then signed him to the game roster, is a sign that they still believed in him. And I've seen improvements in him and Cunningham on a regular basis. Even Ninkovich has been improving.

I'm not going to rehash another Cunningham thread but even though he didn't get a sack today he looks really good coming in from the edge. He really is making the left tackle work these last 2 weeks. He will continue to improve and I can't wait to see him for years to come. Can't believe I actually wanted Carlos Dunlap over this guy.

He continually forced Rivers up into the pocket.

A couple times I thought it looked like he took the play off, but I don't know his assignement.

I though he was getting pressure a lot and more then once forced Rivers to throw faster then he wanted to.

He is very fast.

I just recommend he not try the spin move. He got manhandled when he tried that.

he gets a negative score on the spin move ... it was bad.

he actually looked like he lost where he was there for a second.

You are exactly right! Cunningham looks so solid out there, and is only going to get better. These near sacks will be sacks in time.

BUT BUT BUT.... according to you the Pats didn't have a pass rush today....

I think overall he was a ghost out there.....maybe he assisted on some plays but never saw him do anything outstanding. He is BB's binky.....Not sure what to expect from the guy.....

That's ok. You're the same guy who says that Matt Light has been sh!t for most of his career, so why would you actually notice Crable being on the field...

What I have noticed about Crable is that he gets a solid push on the RT and usually Drives him back.. As I said earlier, this is Crable's rookie season, essentially (though also his do or die season). He's not been Mike Vrabel of 2004, but he's not been Eugene Lockhart either.

he came very close to a sack a few times. I NEVER look for certain players during a game cause it just distracts me from the overall game. But I did Notice Crable more than I had before

I thought Crable did a decent job of getting around the edge.

When going inside he got manhandeled by my eye.

Yup ... at this point he's a 3rd down pass rusher when Bill schemes to get him an outside path.

Yikes ... Bill really works to get some players some reps.

He needs to get in football shape. He was pretty good up until the end where he was so gassed that he was relegated to bullrushing. I was pleasantly surprised by how it was actually kinda effective.

His length and wingspan make it tough on the RT to deal with. Like someone said, this guy was supposed to be out on the street right now and to see him fighting for his football life is great to see. The effort is there and he'll continue to get better with reps, I do like what I am seeing out of him.

Ha ha, yeah. It sort of looked like after he spun he was dizzy.

But I am pleased with what I am seeing so far.

No getting all the negativity today about the Pats not having a rush. I mean what the hell are people expecting, a sack or pressure every down?

I thought the Pats in general got good pressure today, and a few sacks.

Crable, Cunningham and Ninky do bring us some hope over the last few years ... no question.

I know this might sound silly, but one thing that impresses me is the fact that when he knows he can't get to the QB he always gets his arms up in the passing lanes. This is becoming a lost art for many D-Linemen/pass rushers.
