the negativity about how awful this win was, but I wanted to point out that this team is tied for the best record in the NFL

Let's not forget that the other two teams with 5-1 records barely won their last game too. The Steelers won on a questionable call by the refs and the Jets barely beat a team with 2 wins and got blown out by the Raiders today.

Feels kind of bittersweet right now.

We're tied for the best record in the league, yet would be the #5 seed right now.

Got to start rooting even harder against the Jets now, don't want us having some great record and not even getting a bye.

**** it

we won

call me a homer

but

WE WON

Who cares about where the Pats would be seeded after seven weeks into the season. After six weeks last year, the Broncos would have been in the one or two seed. They didn't even make the playoffs.

I was unaware that being objective made me a chicken little or negative

Anyone who thinks the team played well today is either drunk, or a blind homer. I'm stoked we got the win, but wow was did we look terrible. The receiving corps had club hands, the line couldn't block and the coaching staff got soft and played not to lose

Again, we played a bad game. I'm happy with the season and they way things are going, but we didn't look great

Do you expect the team not to get criticized? Everybody gets criticized. We can't pretend the team is perfect as long as they win.

Yeah they're coming out of the wood work like always. I have a hard time believing they followed the team during the SB years cause this is what it was like a good deal of the time. Squeeking out a win.

when we win say nothing negative for you will be a chicken little. when we lose say nothing positive for you will be a homer. Im sure BB will be popping champaign like our friend Andy right.

That team that went 16-0 played a few stinkers themselves. . . .

Not really.
The head to head tiebreaker is irrelevant, because it means nothing unless they beat us in Foxboro.
Arguably, we are ahead because we have the same record, having played the game at NJ and not at NE.

Yes, we should be greatful that we won when the offense played so poorly FOR ONE HALF.

We should understand that the offense did not give away points as the chargers did. The offense merely was hopelessly ineffective for a half.

HOWEVER, we should remember that the offense did adjust well at halftime (as you pointed out). The defense was great ALL GAME. We need to remember how good the SD offense really is.

I will take this win against a talented (but underachieving & awkward) opponent on the road.

they haven't lost a division game, they are ahead right now.

99% of the commentary after a road win is negative.
Sorry that I decided to point out a positive and sorry that it is so rare on this board that you are offended that one person mentioning something positive is raining on your right to complain.

Why would pointing out the record of the team be 'popping champagne'?
Amazing to me that after a win on the West Coast against a team most people predicted we would lose to, that making a positive comment is considered irrational amongst the complainig that has taken over since the win ended.

Hey Tom Brady said that we didn't play great, what a chicken little.
