Blew up a running play on 1st down minus 3 with 6 min left. Sacks qb on 3rd down. Again, late in a game. When these 300 lb's usually get tired.

Starting to remind me of Suh.I hope he comes out.

*chuckles*

I'm in total agreement with you. Fairley looks fantastic. Box, Mayo, and I have been talking about him since his first game of the year, and he hasn't let us down yet. He's perfect for our scheme. Imagine getting a Seymour redux with the pick we received in trade for him? Talk about value!

If he is a top 10 guy (and he sure looked like it today) then I can't imagine he will turn that down. He turns 23 in January so he isn't too young. Amazingly he is almost 2 years older than Aaron Hernandez (who will be able to legally drink after the Browns game).

Fairley's performance today has me reconsidering my preference to go OLB first and then DE. Getting that amount of pressure up the middle would be sick. I was hoping for Fairley as a late first...but that ain't happening now.

What a machine.
My top DE-OLB prospect are now:
1.Marcell Dareus
2.Robert Quinn
3.Da'Quan Bowers
4.Nick Fairley(honestly, could there be a worst name for a DE than Nick Fairley?)
Edit:5.Cameron Heyward

There is alot of depth at that position if they come out.I would love to put Allen Bailey from miami in that discussion but it seems like he takes plays off at time.Doesnt play as hard.

Fairly? Who'd a thought he'd amount to much?

Nice call. I remember you mentioned him during the Auburn/Miss St game. He's top 10 for sure. Got a little excited watching the game. Some people like to watch qb's, rb's and wr's do their thing. I like to watch a DL completely take over a game and the other team out of their offense. Beautiful

I came here to post the same thing, lol what is he projected as?

Wherever he wants to play he can. Looks like he can be a 4-3 DT and athletic enough to play end in 3-4. Wasn't even on draft boards going into the season. He sure as heck looks like a Top 10 pick now. I was hoping to get an edge pass-rusher like D'Quan Bowers or Robert Quinn with Raiders pick and trade up for a guy like Fairley. Going to be difficult now. Too far to move up from late first to Top 10. We'll have to settle for one or the other. I'll take Fairley from what I've seen. Can't wait for the Bama/Auburn game. Fairley vs Dareus.

A monster.... He did remind me of Suh yesterday, they couldnt block him. Does it put him ahead of Dareus is the big question.

Nah, Fairley is good, but not that good. Dareus is something else, almost as good as Suh, just not as dominant

Seems like a pure 3 technique to me. Not sure he could play the five technique.

I'm not sure Dareus is good enough to tie Suh's shoes. Dareus seems like a 3 technique stuck in at the 5 technique position.

The miami kid had a big game as well.Allen Bailey who is suited for a 3-4 defense as well.

I am always wary of people projecting dt's. Only because it seems to me every year people are talking about the next Sapp, Ngata or now Suh. But then you look at the glen dorsey's, jackson's and the B J Raji's and yes some are starting but not having the dominant impact people usually suggest around this time. My jury is still out on some of these dt's until there is a bit more film on them and they start getting analyzed more.
