Ive been asking around and cant get an answer from anyone.
We all know the only reason either VJ or Mankins are returning to their respective teams is because of their own gain in accumulating a season on their contract.
Well if they really wanted to "stick it" to the team couldn't they leave the team without penalty once the regular season is over?

Sure.. if they want to go play in the CFL.

That would kill their own value as free agents. Who wants to pay big bucks to a quitter? They make more money by playing the best they can so that other teams will want to give em the big contracts. So this is a nonissue.

You are assuming that Coach will actually let Mankins play once he comes back. Unless there are serious injuries or O-line problems, I can't see Mankins taking a single snap once he signs his tender.

He could just take on the role of Dog-Faker.

True. But from what I've seen in the media and these forums, I think he'll have to wrest it away from Meriweather.

I like this question! I don't know what the answer is.

From everything I've heard, it sounds like a player could bail before the playoffs and still accrue one season.

However, bailing before the playoffs would probably kill any and all free agent value that a player has.

Could be the Pimp Dog look. I hear it's popular in Baltimore.....

I agree. Now I'm sure that Bill & Dante will prepare Mankin$ to be ready if needed,
but if he isn't needed, then F him.

Folks venting venom at Mankins for something he has not done nor said that he'd do. Projection?

You ever applied for a job? Generally they ask about previous employment.
I'm guessing "I fcked my old team in the playoffs" doesn't look good on a resume.

So you believe that if Mankins makes the team better, BB will let him rot on the bench? I don't think BB would be doing his job in such a scenario - isn't it up to the coach to put the best team on the field each game and put them in the best position to win?

What I want to know is - How the hel| did you got a picture of Ray Lewis' dog?

My take on this is that if Mankins or Jackson were to literally not show up in the play-offs, they'd be facing a suspension by the league for conduct detrimental to the league. Not to mention that it would kill any potential of a lucrative contract coming their way.

Isn't that what Asante Samuel did in 07? Oh wait my mistake, technically he was on the team and was even on the field, he just played like he had abandoned the team. Anyway it worked out well for him.

Actually a good case could be made that the "chemistry" of the guys in there is so good he does not want to disturb it.
