Who will be the 8th on the PSquad??

Heard a few minutes ago it would be a player from Training Camp...and I DO wonder who that might be....thoughts?????
I am thinking one of 3 players..OF COURSE I could be totally wrong...lol...Maybe one that was a bit less obscure or a player that kind of was here and gone quick.
1...Buddy Farnham...Maybe Edelman is a bit more bumped up and a return guy and receiver is needed..THAT was my first thought.
2/3. With safeties injured...I also thought about Ross Ventrone or Terence Johnson...(even though TJ is a CB)...still thought either could be a possibility.
4. Brian Simmons...Although he's playing in CT and?? Don't they have a lot of OL on teh squad??
5 Rod Owens...Again a WR..but??? did he show a lot to get him to sign??

WEEI just mentioned Ventrone, but I'm not sure if they were speculating that because of the injuries and depth concerns at safety or announcing they'd heard that.

Thanks...answered my question before/as it was announced. THAT makes sense, considering injuries...etc. maybe Brown to the 53 if needed.

OK...they had a full 8 as of just after the Moss trade...signing QB Brett Ratliff. A week later...first day of practice, he was gone, claimed by Cleveland and thus the opening. A LOT of those moves including the cutting of Javarris James RB came amidst the Moss trade/signing Branch...so a bit under the radar.

Minor point, but you can't "claim" someone off another team's PS; they have to be willing to leave that team's PS.
