Game 5 in the ALDS and Texas is up on the Rays 5-1. Tampa is coming up for one last shot at taking the lead in the bottom of the 9th. Barring a miracle, Texas should advance to the ALCS to take on the very homosexual Yankees. I figured I should go ahead and start this thread so we can hope and pray that the Rangers knock off the Yanks and advance to the World Series.

Just went official. Rangers win 5-1 and advance to the ALCS. The Rangers split the regular season series with the Yankees this year. Go Rangers!!

Lee and CJ Wilson need to be lights out against the Wankmees for the Rangers to have any chance.

Not sure about that. The Rangers are pretty good about getting on base then manufacturing runs. If they can do that, and the pitching staff can do an admirable job (doesn't have to be lights out), then they have a good chance of winning this series. The Rangers are also the type of team that can make fat ass CC throw a ton of pitches. If that porker has to keep throwing, he'll tire out quickly.

Kontra, you always seem to be on the right side of every competition. I am rooting for Tejas all day long. Love Hamilton's comeback story. Love the pitching, Love Kinsler, Young, etc. Did I mention I despise the Yankmees?!

They split 4-4 during the season. Their hopes pin on their two aces pitching well given the Wankmees ability to pull **** out.

That said I agree that you're right that the Texans offense can fire up.

Cliff Lee is the man. I wish the Sox would have inquired about him before the trade deadline.

If the yankmees sign him next year, I'm swearing off baseball forever. They need a salary cap!

Just put it in your head now so you're not as upset when it happens :)

The best sight in sports is the Yankee fans praying to the devil before the final out leading to elimination.

Hope to see that in this series ...:cool::cool:

Rangers up 2-1 in the series after hammering the Yanks. Nice. Take the next two games in New York and close it out, please.

It really should be 3-0 Rangers favor. Let's hope they do the right thing and crush New York in New York.. then piss on the mound and keep Cliff Lee.

So far the series hasn't been close, even though it's only 2-1 right now. The Yankees have had one good inning where seven straight batters got on base; other than that it has been all Texas.

I feared after that game one loss the Rangers would be shell shocked and totally demoralized. Glad to see them be able to brush that off and move on. Kudos to them for having the intestinal fortitude to rebound and not let that blown lead get them down.

I didn't even know that there was a thread regarding the Rangers. Impressive! :D

I really have to agree with the Mazz article re: Lee. We need to sign this dude. He is the the Yankee Slayer!

On top of that, he's about as clutch as it gets in the playoffs. If we ever make it back there, we could use him.

The wheels are falling off tonight. Good times.:rocker:

I'm working, unfortunately. I wish I could see it. How many times have the Yankee fans booed them tonight?

Man, to think of what would be happening if Texas didn't choke in Game 1...

well it looks like its going to come down to Lee vs Hughes in game 6 if it even gets that far. Lol @ Sox fans thinking they have a shot at Lee though.
