Nothing wrong in being the underdog :)

That's pathetic, back to saying we can't win on the road, a 2-4 team that gives up tons of points to the highest scoring team. I am all for trap games but give us some credit.

This will be a hard fought game for sure, if malcom flloyd and antonio gates are out though it'll be tough for san diego. Chargers need a big win and they have been dominate at home so far this year.

Really this plays right into the Pats' hands. For the last three weeks now, there was some big reason the Pats were/are about to get smoked by their next opponent.

Against the Fins, "the Pats D is terrible; the Pats can't win on the road; Miami has Brady's number, etc." Result, Pats W.

Against Baltimore, "Baltimore is the best team in the NFL right now; the Pats will sputter without Moss; the Pats questionable (not terrible any more after Miami) D won't be able to contain Ray Rice, etc." Result, Pats W.

Against San Diego, "SD is desperate for a win; the Pats have to travel across the country; Philip Rivers is due for a big game; the Pats (still) questionable D won't be able to sack Rivers a bunch of times like his last 2 opponents, etc." Result? Who knows, but I'm betting BB is in there all week saying, "Look how you played last week, and they call you underdogs against a 2-4 team that can't find it's way out of a paper bag! No respect!!"

Belichick to the team in today's meetings: "See, no one respects you."

San Diego does pose a very real threat to the Pats. A great offense and bad record. The Pats will need to find a way to put pressure on Rivers. This rushing 3 guys and covering everyone won't fly like it did against Flacco.

Home team usually gets a 3 point advantage, so Vegas is saying the game is pretty much even. I would agree to this. The Chargers are a desperate team, very tough to go to 2-5 in this league. They have a lot of talent as well. If Gates' status remains uncertain I think the line might start to swing in the Pats favor.

Repeat after me: "The lines don't reflect who Vegas thinks will win. The lines reflect how Vegas wants people to bet."

Thank you las vegas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can hear BB now. They've lost to the Raiders and Rams the last two weeks. Now, everyone has them favored to beat you guys. WTF!!!

Clearly:) Vegas believes Brady will be distracted....so close to LA. Actresses, models all wanting a piece of him. And don't forget the hairdresser.

Well the Chargers can't play the disrespect card. That's for sure.

they stink on the road, but have completely destroyed both opponents at home

Would be a shame if we went to their house. Beat them. Dis-respected them. And, did the Lights Out Dance. Oh, we've already done that.

out current defense hasn't. rivers is no flacco. if he's got people to throw to, this will be a very tough game for the pats

Except this will be their first home sellout of the year. And the only reason it will be is because pats fans like me will be there. :)

They have allowed six touchdowns on special teams and to opposing defenses (two KR TDs, one PR TD, a TD after a blocked punt, and two fumbles returned for a TD).

They have three blocked punts and are averaging 28.9 yards net per punt (lowest in the league and 8.9 less than even lowly Miami). They have nine forced fumbles, all of which were recovered by the opposing team. Rivers has only thrown five picks, but we can work on improving that. ;)

the chargers are scary at home

this game isnt as given as some make it out...
