Need to trade for a corner to replace Arrington/Butler side of the field. Is Asomougha totally out of the question? Who else is there? Don't even mention Springs. Teams don't trade starting calibre corners midseason unless their salaries are burdensome.

Would Asomougha renegotiate his contract? Any chance the Raiders might cut him? His 2010 salary is something like $13-14 mil. It's outrageous.

I don't want to pay a cornerback that money. If it's for the right price then lets go for it but most likley he would kill our cap. Also keep in mind that we may be signing 2 1st rounders next year and muliple 2nds as well.

Also, Bodden will hopefully be back.

Aside from Arrington on Boldins TD I didnt think they were that bad today. And to Arringtons defense he has no business covering Boldin. I thought the CBs have been getting better and better each week. Arrington will be good enough to get the job done I believe. Wheatley will probably be given a shot as well when he returns

Shutdown corners don't happen overnight, it usually takes a year or two of some fire roasting.

What about trading Wilhite and our first rounder for 2011 for Asomougha and rework his contract over 4 years? We would still keep Oakland's 2010 first round pick.

I am really surprised that Oakland doesn't cut asomougha right now given his salary, but they know he's worth a first rounder.

Where do you people come up with this stuff?? Wow.

Haha, I never get surprised by awful trade proposals. If Maroney wasn't already shipped off it probably would've been - Whilite, Maroney, and a 1st.

awful? please explain. awful for which team?

It's not so much the strain on the new CBA cap (w/e that'll be), it's the structure of what position gets paid how much ...... Revis would still be on the sidelines for us. The example of Revis isn't to knock the Jets, it's just to show we have a different philosophy. Absent a salary reduction NA won't be playing here. Think about having two Boddens and Kaczur for the price of a NA. Also, we play zone with CBs, it's a little wasteful to spend that much at the CB position.

we play zone because we don't have a guy like Revis or Nnamdi

hahah yeah what he said. Maybe we can trade BJGE and a 3rd for chris johnson too

then get demarcus ware for a 2nd and tully banta cain

then we'll be awesome

Awful for our salary cap if he doesn't renegotiate (which he wouldn't... why would you want less money when your getting that much). Awful for the raiders for losing namdi... their best player for a late 1st and a scrap CB

Awful for Namdi if in this fairytale world he renegotiates his contract because then he would get less money...

Which one do you want to choose?

That ship has sailed. We're going to ride out the regular season with what we have available to us right now. Next year, Bodden comes back to fill out the CB corps.

Players never develope if you keep bringing in vets the first time one of them gets burned.

If the cap comes back, you can't survive without cheap cost controlled young talent.

Duh, we only do it if he will renegotiate.
For the Raiders: Mr. Asomougha aint bringing them wins right now, but is costing major dollars. We let them back into the first round in 2011 and throw in a jag corner. Only done if Nmadi will renegotiate.

He's not going to renegotiate his contract. He's a top 3 corner in the NFL... for what reason would he take less money to play for us? Asomugha is worth way more than a late 1st round pick and Jonathan Wilhite.

Seriously, lay off the Madden.

Unfortunately he probably does care more about his ridiculous contract than winning football games. If it were me, I'd slash my contract in half in a heart beat if it meant moving from the steaming pile of dung that is OAK to play for the Belichick's Pats.

I thought Arrington did better today especially in the second half, the boy can tackle for sure but needs to play a little tighter and learn when receivers make their cuts

saying that I think its funny how people expect every corner to be Revis or Bailey, receivers get paid too and the core the ravens have are very very good

For me he's better than Butler and can only improve as the season goes on. He's got the athleticism, just needs some experience and work on his technique

Why would Oakland trade us Asomougha for one of their picks they have already traded us for...

As much as I would like to see him in our uniform, he is too expensive...

Where is Darius Butler???
