Home teams usually get three points so by a very slim margin.

Doesn't this mean the Ravens are favored by a 1/2 a point (or I guess it's a pick em) because the home team automatically gets a 3 point advantage. Come on BB!! No respect for your team in its own house!!

Wow, that's surprising. Makes a little sense with the Pats' home record being as good as it's been over the past few years, but I thought it would be a pick em at best.

Wow...didn't expect that

Okay, I'll bite, all you "didn't expect that" posters. Are you saying you would expect the Pats to open as 3+ point favorites, or you were expecting the Ravens to be favored? Before you answer, we are 3-1, playing at home, having just demolished a team on the road we usually have a lot of trouble with.

I thought the Ravens would be favored. Everybody is on their bandwagon

I guess the blow in Vegas must be pretty good. The oddsmakers are clearly high.

I expected the Ravens to be favored because they're also 3-1, they've beaten better teams than we have, their passing attack might be the best that we've faced, which is a terrible matchup for us, and we always have a ton of trouble with Ray Rice. Not to mention what happened last time they came to Foxboro.

I'm not optimistic, but hey, that's what's great about football. Pats might go and beat them by three touchdowns. I have no idea what to expect from this Pats team, and that's part of the fun in watching them.

If the Pats can pick up the blitzes like they did against the Jets, the Pats should be able to move the ball at will against the pathetic Ravens secondary.

We think the Pats have it bad at DB, I feel really bad for Ravens fans. Their secondary will eventually derail their season.

And who the hell knows what Pats defense will come out next Sunday.

Brady is downright surgical at home. Plus there's the revenge factor. I would take 2.5, prolly not 3.5 tho :)

Not to mention we are coming off of a BYE.

This is at least one point of the the 2.5. Normally a meaningful advantage, BB makes it even more of one.

I have to admit, if I was a betting man, this is one where I'd take the Ravens and the points. I just don't think our defense has developed enough to stop the Ravens, and the offense will need a couple of games to adjust to the Moss loss.

O ye of little faith ...

The Ravens are the best team in the NFL. I will be surprised if the Patriots keep it close.

I'm surprised at the line simply because so many picked the Ravens to go to the Super Bowl and the Pats to miss the play-offs (even before the Moss trade).

The Ravens didn't look very good to start the season (barely beating a historically-inept Jets offense in week 1, losing to the Bungles, barely beating Cleveland at home). But the last few weeks, they've found their way, beating a Roethlisberger-less Steelers team in Pittsburgh and beating up the Broncos. I expected the Ravens to be favoured.
