I guess it's silence. I don't hear;

1. Patriots can't win a big game on the road. This was an early season important game. Any win against the Fins in Miami is a big win.

2. The Patriots can't win in the 2nd half.

3. The young DB's can't make plays.

Yes it's early and there are tough games ahead. But it's going to be nice having a respite for 2 weeks from all that crap from Borges, Felger, Curran, the national media, and some posters here at patsfans.

The DBs still need lots of improvement.

Henne is terrible.

You think? Henne was not terrible against the Jets.

Yes they need to improve and will as the season goes along. But, what happen to, they can't make any plays against anyone including Fitzpatrick?

Also, BB told Pat Harwin, that nothing spurns player development like winning. The young players see that what they have been taught actually works.

So, this huge win was a step in the right direction for the team.

Good win, but it hardly means those things you mention weren't/aren't issues.

This is the winner from last nights Gameday thread. With NO score yet at all in the game and still the first quarter, check this out:

Re: The official Patriots vs. Dolphins game thread

Well this games over... The Phins are gonna trash the pats
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

With all the cr@p the Pat's get thrown at them by the media, the haters and ESPN, it really makes you despise the hometown quitters even that much more.

The sad part is, there's probably far too many Patriots "fans" who are actually upset that the Pat's won last night since they can't spin their "I told you so" agendas for the next 2 weeks.

It has a strange allure. It has a strange... allure.

Well in all honesty, yesterday was the first game the recent memory where we kicked butt on road against a better team / hostile crowd.

Hope Kontra's reverse hex will work magic for many more seasons to come including this one :D

It's the wisdom of "You are what you are."

The NFL is such a "what have you done this week" league. Perceptions shift so quickly and that's part of the fun. Skim the local and national media and suddenly the Pats are greater than they've been since .. .week 1. (NFL.com's headline: "The new no-name defense.")

That's why I find it annoying when some in here act superior toward folks who get excited after a win or down after a loss (and sometimes a win!). That's part of being an NFL fan -- the rollercoaster.

I remain psyched about this young team. Hard to believe the Pats have a better record than the Colts and the same as the Steelers with such a horrid draft record.

So true. Who knows what will happen for the rest of the season. Hopefully the team will build off this win in a big way, but we don't know yet. For now, it's nice to bask in the glory of a real butt kickin' (handed out by our team) on national TV! Part of the victory for the players, I'm sure was shutting up (for 2 weeks at least) all the naysayers. Go Pats!!!

I didn't know what to expect last night. And I admit that I have been a little over the top in my negativity during games. Yes I admit it! :p
I decided to just sit back and watch the game a little bit last night. There were some ups and downs but I wanted to be patient and just let the game develop. I'm happy that I did. Look, this team is a work in progress on defense. They took a big step last night for sure, but there is still a lot of football left to be played. I just hope that this is the start of the younglings finally "GETTING IT". They made some progress, IMO. It wasn't perfect, but they made plays. I haven't seen that in a long time. I hope it continues. :)

Henne is terrible.
Yeah, everyone is "terrible" once we beat them and HOF worthy before we do.

Good win, but it hardly means those things you mention weren't/aren't issues.

No one said that they were not issues. No one knows if some or most of the issues will get better as the season moves along. I think they will.

But keep on clinging to that unhappy attitude, if it make you happy. I'm sure other Red Sox type fans and media people will be joining you.

Remember never get to high on a win, and too low after a loss... This was a great win and a great team win... and a much needed win on the road.. But this is how this team is going to need win, making plays on special teams and turnovers... Prob was good to see Brady not needed to make plays to win... The defense is still a work in progress, third down defense is still iffy, or should i say Johnathan Whilhite, is iffy... all in all good to go into a bye with this type of win, but its a marathon not a sprint...

There are too many Red Sox whining complaining loser mentality fans here lately. I'm not talking about reasoned posters critical of our young D with all its questions and substantial flaws or those concerned about Brady's sometimes fixation on Moss & Welker but those bitter souls constantly reveling in the pit of negativity.

Outside of Patsfans, I don't criticize the Currans et. al. who for good reasons picked against the Pats. They had good precident for cause. However, I hope Felger and that little creep Maz on 98.5 gets his ass kicked 24/7 for the next two weeeks.

Unhappy attitude? Not at all. I'm psyched the Pats won, that game was a ton of fun. Relax.

Henne is terrible.

People keep saying that, yet they haven't actually bothered to look at the rest of his work. Henne is actually a pretty decent QB. The Pats defense fooled him. It happens.

BTW, I am not saying that the defense doesn't need to improve.. It does. It can always get better.

Last night was a huge win for that particular reason. The 2nd half issues WERE a major concern since early last since. I can't blame anyone for being worried after it reared its ugly head in the Jets game again.

Predicted this win a couple of weeks ago. Loved the matchup and felt very good about this game all along.

PATSNUT, national media has given this team more love than the local blowhards. Our local drama queens (Felgie, Mazz, D&C Perv Borgie) live for the negative.
Btw D & C (their football knowledge = Perv Borgie talking points) were downright miserable this morning. :D Love it when the mediots pout

So much for "the Patriots can't win unless Brady carries them" eh?? ;)

A couple of years ago I thought I was going to have to eat some crow about Ellis Hobbs, I even commented that he was the best player on the field at one point in the season, early in the season.

Last night was encouraging, let's see what happens when we have to play Pittsburg, Indy, Green Bay, Chicago, but I stayed up to watch the entire game and still made it to work on time with a little skip to my step.

It is always a good day the day after a Patriots win.
