to cover Brandon Marshall. ;) In the past BB has used
Troy Brown on defense. If BB were to use a WR on defense in the Miami
game , which one do you think he would pick to cover Marshall?

You think Moss could handle him?

Sam Aiken. ...

Ok I'll pick Welker. Like the man can do anything from cut real fast to getting extra yardage when being grabbed by a linebacker to coming back from a career threatening injury in a couple of months.

Ability to make quick weight shifts, changes of direction, and fast bursts of under 5 yards (typically) to close are essential, so I would think a person able to make such quick moves in tight spaces would fare best, meaning Welker or Edelman. Given Julian's better combine numbers and no knee injury, I'd likely go with him, despite that size issue.

I ain't scared of Brandon Marshall. Just double cover him. Let Chung lay the lumber on him early and he'll be hearing footsteps all day long.

I agree. If Pats double Marshall and focus on run, how is Miami going to win this game. Maybe that's too much to ask for this young defense but Pats offense should easily hand 30+ on Miami's D.

Pats offense is going to click one of these weeks and I think it's this week. I think Pats win this one by 10-15 points.

Uh,did you miss week 1s game against Cincy?

They were pretty good in that first half

Huh? You do know that the Pats are #1 in PPG right?

To answer the OP's question however, first player that came to mind for some reason was Tate.

I assume he means for the offense to play a complete game for 4 quarters, they may be ranked #1 but the majority of that production has been in the first 2 quarters

Ok, understood. But what if the 30 or so points per game were spread out with a touchdown on average coming in each quarter, plus what if the defense gave up "only" let's say 14 points per game for an average winning score of 30-14, would people still believe the offense hasn't been on track over the first three games?

To tell you the truth,I would sacrifice a top ranked offense for a team that is equally distributed on both sides Of the ball and for both sides to be ranked 7th to 12th or so

Give me 20-14 games any year like we did in the glory years,we were not top heavy on either side of the ball and that led to championships, right now we have a great offense and a poor defense and we are top heavy and relying on one area to win games...I hate that scenario but in 2010 it's the cards we were dealt

Moss. He matches up best with height and speed of Marshall. B-Marsh would struggle to use his body to shield Moss and Marshall would be stuck getting short passes all day. And there isn't a WR on the Pats smarter then Moss.

Stanley Morgan........errr, did you mean, current Pats WR? :bricks:

I'll choose DMc ;)
