Not that he has inspired a ton of confidence in what he's shown so far... but remember that Wheatley should be returning in the coming weeks and gives us another opportunity to find a half-decent CB to start. Just saying... don't lose total faith in the corners yet, haha.

Who? This guy makes just about as much impact as Crable. None.
Woodhead has made more of an impact for the Pats in 1 game than Wheatley has made his entire career.

haha I don't think I'd go that far in comparing him to Crable.

I think that if Wheatley were healthy, he would've been ahead of Arrington on the depth chart, and thus we would've already seen him starting a game last week (or at least getting significant time). Although that speaks to our lack of CB depth more than Wheatley's potential, it still means that we have something to look forward to when he gets back... and that he'll actually be seeing the field (and passes coming his way), unlike Crable.

Crable has played this season ;)

All we are looking for is a 1 Decent CB to cover a team No 2.then we can put a safety over a cb on the no1 and then play ball.

If he can give us anything like he was showing midway through the 2008 season, he should be able to help us. That's a big if. At least he should have a good grasp of the system by now. It certainly can't hurt to have him back.

He was starting to look like a decent CB in 2008, but it was unlucky that he got injured, and seemed to struggle to make it on the active roster!

Wheatley is made of glass...I wouldn't depend on him for much.

Butler may yet come around....need another corner that can be at least mediocre in coverage this year. Don't need a Revis.

Better chance that Butler gets better and makes an impact, than Wheatley making an impact

I think that Wheatley will help this team as soon as he's healthy. He looked real good in 08. Most corner's don't develop until their 3rd year in the league.

If wheatley can get healthy I think he is a big deal for this D -

i really think this is the season for Wheatley - he has the speed and smarts

All i remember is him knocking the ball down one play against an ancient Marvin Harrison, I honestly can't remember one other thing this guy did that year. And his competition was Deltha O'Neill and Ellis Hobbs.

He'll be fine. Seriously, I think that with him coming back, and the youth we have with their athleticism,, things will improve every week as the season chugs along.

I wouldnt say that, hes a very smart kid and hes athletic, I think if he can get healthy he may surprise some of you guys.

***Wheaties*** had that big injury in his rookie season. It would be nice if he did come back and contribute:singing:.\

Crable has been banged up for 3 years
