OK, maybe not really a contest, since I won't be tabulating anything. But since I started playing the predict the score contest for the first time this year (for shame, I know), I thought this might be kinda fun--going through the Pats' entire schedule now, picking wins and losses. Get something on the record....I'm sure whoever does really well will be more than happy to bump their post again at the end of the season.

I know we're through 3 weeks, but everybody's on the record w/the predict the score contest. And if you're not....I dunno, honor system! So I say...

Cincinnati W
at NY Jets L
Buffalo W
at Miami W (Feel kinda iffy about this one)
Baltimore L (Gotta lose at home eventually, right?)
at San Diego W
Minnesota W
at Cleveland W
at Pittsburgh L
Indianapolis W
at Detroit W
NY Jets W
at Chicago W
Green Bay L
at Buffalo W
Miami W

12-4....feels a little optimistic, but what the hell, I'm a fan.

Re: Predict the Pat's Season Contest

I agree except I think we'll beat the Ravens @ home and lose to the Chargers on the road.

Oh and I'm expecting us to lose to the Dolphins on Monday night if I'm being totally honest.

9-7. I predicted 10-6 but I'm not sure which game to change to make that happen. Essentially we lose to the teams with good passing attacks. Except for Pittsburg who I believe will be the best team in the league once Big Ben comes back.

ah, come on....this won't be fun if it turns into another "let's post funny things that aren't really funny" thread.

(Apologies if you're serious.)

That's right, 13-3. :D I believe our defense will improve and our offense will be able to carry us in most games.

My head hurts trying to think about it game by game. I said 10--6 in the "Predict the Season" poll and, for now, I'm sticking by that.

My rationale was that there was no way a team with Brady at QB wouldn't win 10 games. That, of course, assumed that the "Defense" wasn't giving up an average of 27.3 points a game, requiring a 30+ point production from Tommy and the Offense every week.

However, I must admit that, when "Bills at Home with an Ivy League QB making his first NFL start" ends up being called a "Shootout," I do need to see that the Defense can be just a tad tougher, if that prediction's going to hold.

I'm not as optimistic as some of you. I hope this defense steps up. That's a tough schedule.

I like the optimism.

I may as well put my pessimistic prediction out there so I can win the contest against all you optimists :) :

I'm sticking with 11-5 ... I don't like picking by game ... every season is a roller coaster.

Yeah, but just for fun, you know.

OK, here's some incentive: whoever does the best, at the end of the season I'll post, "good job." So you'll have that going for you.

Yeah, knew I had like a sixth sense--was sure the board would be into this...(flop sweat, tugs collar, looking around....) anyway....

Cowards! Bunch of Nancies afraid to say what you think and maybe be wrong! Well, kudos to (I'll check later and post again)...

I can't sit here and try to predict Patriots wins/losses. I'm just looking at it a week at a time and hoping for a win every week. For any loss we have to just put it behind us and prepare for the next battle. I hate being pessimistic.

I understand. You've got a lot on your plate. No hard feelings.
