Can't express how happy I am knowing that the man who for the last decade that made Matt Light look like a revolving door and had Tom Brady hitting the ground on a sack a record 12 times during this tenure is no longer in the NFL and no longer in a Buffalo Bills uniform.

Can I hear an Amen??....

Schobel, enjoy your retirement...Pats fans and Brady sure are :)

Jason Taylor is next on the list...

Judging by the Brady strip sack,I would say Jason has some left in the tank to do damage to tom

Taylor didn't really do anything else in that game besides the strip sack, and it was on a blown block. I'm not that worried about him going forward. He looks like an old man.

Schobel, on the other hand, I will celebrate. He was a HUGE headache while he was here and still has plenty left in the tank. Very thankful we don't have to see him twice a year anymore.

I'm not happy he is retired, I wish he was wearing a Pats uniform.

too bad Adam Seward wasn't good enough to retire. :ugh:

Schobel and Taylor should both retire. They just don't have enough left in the tank, and I'd like to see them leave on their own terms.

All the best,

Matt Light

Who?

I don't know this Aaron Schobel person. Is he any good?

He wanted to eat more, so he retired.

At least that's what I remember reading.

At the moment I am pleased; but lets see what the Bills' D-Line does later! :)

Schobel was so much of a pain in the azz that the Patriots have won 13 in a row against Buffalo...

Matt doesn't know him because he never saw him as he went by him to hit Brady :p

One man can't do it all when you need 53 players but no single player did as much damage against Brady as this guy.

I would have loved to sign Aaron, even for 1yr.

Look at the Jets signing JasonT. JasonT is a Patriots-killer as well. He sacked Brady in the Jets game, causing a turnover in the red-zone.

That's worth playing JasonT for the entire year, for a play like that.

Interesting tidbit on this. It seems that Mr. Schobel worked out for the Texans, but they couldn't agree on the money:

After weeks of speculation that he might come out of retirement, defensive end Aaron Schobel worked out for the Texans but will not be signing with the team.

Schobel, 33, and the Texans could not come to a contract agreement, so he will remain retired in Columbus, about an hour west of Houston.
