The Patriots streak against the Bills since the Lawyer Milloy, "they hate their coach", game is 13-0.

Since BB became coach of the Patriots, his record against the Bills is 18-2. Now there have been some very close games during that run and some blowouts. There have been some games that the Patriots, quite frankly, have been lucky to win including last years 25-24 game. We won at Buffalo 17-10 hardly a blowout.

So if we Patriots fans think that this game is a layup this Sunday consider last year games. Also consider the odds of going 14-0 against any NFL team.

Discuss,

I'm sticking with 11-5 with a lean towards 10-6 if it takes longer than predicted for the secondary to get in sync.

Don't think that's really relevant....

But on the OP, of course not. Yes, streaks have to end sometime, but 15-0, 17-0, whatever. It's not ending Sunday.

If u cant beat the lousy bills at home by 2 tds then this team is head for a 9-7 season.

Re: Going for 14-0- shoud we be worried?

I think we should be more worried than the people predicting 30-point blowouts are, because the Bills are better than we seem to be giving them credit for. I know people are talking about the Bills' offense being the worst in the league, but they were saying the same about the Jets' offense last week, so I think we can all agree that that label is a bit premature. And their secondary is actually good; we're not well-suited to exploit their weaknesses, basically.

I'm still predicting a Patriots win purely based on talent discrepancy, but I predict that this board will be filled with panicked people on Sunday wondering why the game is close.

If this team does not blowout the Bills at home they won't blowout a team all year...this is probably the best chance to cruise into the 4th quarter not worrying about Brain Farts and the team giving up and tanking it as usual...if they can't win this game easily then we will fight for every win by a few points

I think he thought the topic meant going 14-0 for the remaining 14 games, without actually reading the post.

They beat the Bills at home by one point last year.

Later in the season they beat the Titans 59-0, the most dominating blowout win in team history.

If we don't beat the Bills then we are .like someone said, going to be 9-7 or 8-8.

Yep, last year I stated in a thread that I would drink my own urine if we lost to Buffalo at home. If not for Leodis McKelvin it would have backfired big time. Lesson still learned though, not going to take any opponents for granted.

This defense would make any dud QB look like a superstar so it wouldnt shock me.

Brady was coming off a year layoff and obviously was rusty which somewhat explains the narrow finish....But he still won the game

Good to see people are still optimistic ;)

Prediction: I don't think this game is going to be a blowout by any stretch of the imagination. I actually think it's going to be a close, low scoring game. I think we'll win, but I think that it'll be close and unimpressive enough to have this board go up in flames for the next week or so.

I think anybody expecting a blowout here is in for a huge disappointment.

I don't get it,last week the majority in here were predicting a blowout of the Jets (which didn't happen)

Now no one thinks we can beat the Bills easy

How a week of putrid defense and a predictable offense changes things

I was one of the people who didn't think the Jets game was going to be such a blowout. I saw a hard fought game with the Bills even before the Jets game.

Here are the margins of victory in the NE/Buff games from 2004-present (first game/second)

2004 - 14/23
2005 - 5/28
2006 - 2/22
2007 - 31/46
2008 - 10/13
2009 - 1/7

Not one time did the NE win by more the first time they faced Buffalo and half the time they win by a single score. Outside of the 2007 season, the only time NE really dominated Buffalo in their first game was in 2008. Even the 2004 team had their hands full until Tedy's strip sack and Seymour's rumbling TD return.

FWIW, home/away has no bearing. The three closest opening games were all at home, as were the two most dominant opening victories.

The long and short is, don't expect a blowout until December 26.

I'm expecting a blowout for the first half!

There are so many things wrong with this post that I don't even know where to start.
