Last night I dreamed that in order to protect the league's investment in highly paid QBs, Roger Goodell had decreed that Patriots road games would be shortened to 30 minutes. I think that would help our record greatly, eh? :eat2:
To fill the extra broadcast time NFL Films quickly started preparing new documentaries. Unfortunately the first one, "Philadelpha Eagles, The Kevin Kolb Years" was poorly received and the whole idea was scrapped.

Second week, so the first of our season standings. These really don't mean too much at this point, even if you've had a bad week lots of others did too.

The * next to your name means you have missed one of the first two weeks, and if you miss another then you will be dropped. The missed week counts as the average score that week, this week it was 24 (last week 13).

Expect those who really were only interested in the Bengals or Jets to be dropped next week. So it's unlikely we will see another such result as TheGodInAGreyHoodie's, who dropped from 10th place to 227th place! On the UP escalator was PATRIOTSFANINPA who went from 124th all the way to 2nd place. Through it all, though, one of last week's leaders celticboy04 held on to first place.

Only 11 points separate Number One from Number 50 and ties, so there are a lot of people who could end up on top in January.

After playing this for several years now, I've noticed that the first two or three weeks are toughest because there are still so many unknowns; the trick is to ride those weeks out and not be so far behind that you have no chance to climb back in.

I'm happy in 11th place, but this week's game is a tough call. Blow out? Sure if the team that played the first three halves of the season shows up. Squeaker? Yep, if the team that played the second half last Sunday is on the field. At least I have four more days to figure it out.

They scored fewer points than I thought they would, and allowed more points than I thought they would. But what should I expect from an offense consisting of stubborn, milquetoast front-runners, and from a defense of undertalented, bend-then-break sieves?
