A glimmer of hope http://boards.buffalobills.com/showthread.php?t=291507

Well Bills fans its wednesday, a day typically for me that I start to let go of last weeks loss and try to get excited about the coming up game and the possibility of a win. I know, I know, the bills get a win, they are the worst team in the league, blah blah blah. I love the bills and you got to take the bitter with the sweet. My brother, a lifetime bills fans said something yesterday that made me remember why I love being a bills fan. He said try not to get to discourage, when we start winning and become a power house again, you want to be there to say YOU stood by the terrible years and now you can enjoy the good years so much more. Bills fans are tough SOB's and this is just one small reason why.

I think we can beat the Pats. I know I am crazy. But hear me out.
I rewatched the pats vs jets game and let me tell you, we should be able to run the ball on the Pats. The jets have a good oline, i am aware, but the pats front 7 is not elite. They are actaully pretty average and have a hard time generating a ton of pressure. IF, and its a big IF, but if we can execute a good game plan and run the football, we could win TOP and keep Brady off the feild.

I also think the Pats secondary is far from Elite, and I would take ours any day of the week. that feels good to say that, i would take the bills secondary over the Pats. I hate the idea of watching a Fitz let offense, but I pray he can be kind of accurate and at least complete some passes. If this happens there will be mismatches. Fitz is smart and he gets the game and how to exploit mismatches. He just does not have the pure talent and ability to be great. However, he may be effective and the kid is a lucky irish prick. He wins some games and is terrible in games. Hopefully he is good in this one.

I believe we have a lack of leaders, sometimes leaders are born during dark days and adversity. Lets hope we get some leaders who will put it all on the line to rep this team, this city, and these fans and GET A WIN!!!!!!! GO BILLS

Ferguson allowed 2 sacks to Gerard Warren... how can the Bills feel good about this? the Pats pass rush was there, and the Pats secondary should be able to cover the Bills... they realize they dont have a guy that is as tall and fast as Braylon Edwards...

Suppose they are used to that over there ;)

Lee Evans is one of, if not the, fastest WR's in the league. And unlike Checkdown Edwards, Fitzpatrick will look down the field.

I did think about Lee Evans!

Very good player on a poor team. Could do very well on a good team.

For sure. I feel bad for the poor guy, wasting away up there. On a decent team he would be almost a household name.

Anyone can beat anyone else on any given Sunday.

To his points though, I would take Byrd, but there's no one else in that secondary who I think is noticeably better than who we have. Also, I don't think their front seven is anything to write home about, now that Schoebel is gone.

I would also expect them to have some success running the ball against us, because they always seem to. That said, I'm expecting the run game for the Bills to become largely irrelevant by halftime.

Yeah, Evans is good but with T.O gone it's going to go back to how we used to defend him, molest the guy at the line and double him the entire game. The Bills have no one else who can hurt you, so take him out and that passing game is done.

The only worry i have is CJ Spiller goes off and has a lot of big plays. They may put together a nice YPA on the ground but i feel pretty good about Wilfork, Warren and Brace stopping the run for the most part. But if this offense has long drives on us then it's time to hit the panic button on this D

McGee would be our #1 corner, he's pretty good, I would say a similar talent level to Bodden

Up here in Buffalo, the fans have given up. I've been a Patriot fan through Erhardt, Meyer, Kiam, Rust, McPherson, etc ...

But never ever did Patriot fans have to go 2 DECADES without a playoff birth.

No one read that guys message. He's talking to the wall.

These are some great Fans. No question.

That being said this is Funny.

If we can cover Moss, Welker, Hernandez and Gronkowski (not likely)
If we can pressure Brady into a bad game (not likely)
If we can outscore them with our offense (not likely)
If we can out gameplan/outcoach them (not likely)
If, after their first touchdown, the minutemen accidentally shoot Brady, Bellickick, Moss, Welker, and Wolfat (more likely than the above)

The chances of us winning this game are about as likely as Ron Jeremy going celibate.
