Re: HD Video Randys Catch

Stop promoting this catch..... It is useless..... We LOST!

Re: HD Video Randys Catch

I love when Randy puts his hand up to let the QB know he's beaten the Corner - it almost always result in a big play. The loss hurts, but for me, Randy burning Revis like that makes up for it. For all of you "Randy is a One Trick Pony" people, just watch that vid a few more times and ask yourself where the Pats would be without being able to stretch the field like that. And BTW - even if he is a one trick pony, catching TD's is pretty damn good trick.

Re: HD Video Randys Catch

Feel free to be miserable about losing one game if you want. Some of us don't think that way. ;)

I am a realist..... Why go balls deep on a guy when the catch meant nothing?

It helps with a few things. Revis is out a few weeks, which weakens a division rival, from THAT PLAY. It knocks down his self confidence, he can't tout the whole "Revis Island" thing because he had Moss on an island, and Moss destroyed him.

We may have lost yesterday, but this play helped in the long run by weakening Revis and the Jets. He needs over the top help, and teams know that now.

Exactly. The guy has been talking trash so Moss needed to show him that he isn't the greatest player ever. And Moss did it. :D

Personally I think Moss was needlessly reckless on that play and deserved to be ripped a new you-know-what. As we all learned last Sunday, it only takes one split second bobble or juggle during the continuing motion and all of a sudden it is an incomplete pass.

Do be a homer. I love the guy, I'm glad we have him and I hope we keep him. You can SYDH because nothing went wrong. But if he bobbles that ball for a split microsecond (even during the continuing action), we lose a 40 yard touchdown. If you don't believe me, just ask Calvin Johnson. There was no need to throw basic football fundamentals completely out the window for the sake of showboating.

Do i need to say it? Yep, I do: Randy Moss is not Calvin Johnson. He has a bit more experience and what was that other thing.... Oh yeah, skill.

Randy Moss is tremendously skilled (as is Calvin Johnson) but he isn't immune to dropping passes. Hey, if you want to defend showboating that's your right. But I bet anything the coach was not happy with it.

with that catch, has Randy Moss gotten off of Revis island?

I guess you didn't notice the ball was firmly clutched in his hand. I also suspect that he were about to bobble the ball, he would have simply brought the other hand around - he just didn't need to. I think after 150 TDs, he may a know just enough about to position to know where to put his hands to keep a ball

In most cases I don't like showboating and you have to admit that Moss doesn't do a lot of showboating compared to earlier in his career. And he doesn't taunt after he gets a TD unlike a certain jets player sunday... But in this case, I completely agree with how Moss embarrassed Revis with that one-handed catch. :D

I suspect that the Revis crowd will say it was only due to the hammy and that Moss still can't beat him when healthy

Yeah but even they know the truth. Revis was running fine right before Randy caught the ball. Revis was just beaten by a better player. :D
