I definitely disagree with a lot of what's been written on Brady's deep passes.
IMO, only one--the second INT--was a bad throw/decision.
To discuss this stuff without getting into the particular situation doesn't help.
For instance, one of the throws ended in an INT.
You look at the stat sheet, and it reads, 0-1 plus INT for that play.
Yet, the situation was third and long, and on the replay, they showed that every single receiver was covered, Wes Welker even broke off his route and gave up on it. Randy was in single coverage downfield. You could see Brady scanning the field just looking for someone short. But there was no one open. Brady had plenty of time. Finally, he made the right decision and lofted it up to Randy. Cromartie intercepted, Jets ball at the 3. Effectively, that's a punt. Nothing wrong in that interception.
On the second INT, Brady read it wrong because he thought Randy was going to fly down the field, but Randy put on the brakes after he made his move, and from then on, Moss was out of position for the catch. I'd rather criticize Brady and the coaches there for not having the urgency to get to the LOS and snap the ball before the Jets challenged the ruling on the field.
I have no qualms with them going deep otherwise.
Again, the problem with the Patriots yesterday was unimaginative playcalling. 2 yard runs put them in the hole for 3rd downs. When you go 3rd and long against the Jets, they flood the field with DBs, shut down the short routes, and stick their CBs one on one with the WRs. The combination of poor playcalling and Randy's inability to make those jump ball plays downfield is what killed our options.
