O.K. Many or should I say ALL of us are sick and ill over this defeat (even though I predicted it)

Is playing Buffalo next week a blessing or a curse?

Unless the Pats fail to show up, the Bills who are at the bottom of the 32 team heap should by all accounts lose in Foxboro next weekend

I would have rather had to play a top notch opponent this very next week to see if this team is able to bounce back from a bitter defeat and beat a quality team but if we win next week we will once again be unaware of what this team can do saying we beat a team in dissaray and even a win will not be a big accomplishment but a win in the division and 2-1 record.

After tonight's game and witnessing a team with a struggling 2nd half offense and little defense,no game will be a walk in the park but if you had to have a win for morale, the closest opponent to a likely win would be to play the Bills who only scored 17 points in 8 quarters thus far.

Would you rather had seen this team play a quality team in week 3 or are you glad we have the hapless Bills on tap?

Then again if the Bills upset the Pats, pack it up and look forward to the Celtics and Bruins upcoming seasons ;)

If we blow them out of the water, there will be lots of overconfidence on this board, and the media may play us up again. Just what our next opponents, the Dolphins will want.

I'll call it...We'll win next week and look good doing it, and then we'll go down to Miami and get spanked on Monday Night.

Going into the bye at 2-2, after todays performance, seems to be best case. I DO NOT see how we beat Miami, especially after how the Jets showed the league how to beat us.

There is no team I would rather play next week (other than the Jets) than Buffalo.

The Dolphins will be overrated after their win in Minnesota and that comes from Minnesota being overrated.

The best way to beat Miami would be for Miami to beat the Jets next week and get all confident they can run the table in the AFC East...a worse scenerio is the Jets go down there and beat them and Miami gets fired up for a prime time tilt at home

I would bet on the Jets getting the job done next week

PREDICTION BY THE END OF WEEK 3....

JETS 2-1
MIAMI 2-1
PATS 2-1
BILLS -There is always next year

They'll spank Buffalo, so that's nice. Of course, the risk is that the Bills rise up and smite the Pats. This board will asplode.

I expect a strong victory, but it'll be a set up for the Dolphins like others have said. I see a victory against the Ravens before a loss at the Chargers, and then I expect things to look up, but it'll be a bumpy ride.

Three problems with that:

1. Other teams don't have the jets defense. Duh.

2. Miami isn't nearly as good as they seem to be right now, which you will see as the season goes on.

3. Bill will fix the problems and we WILL win the next two games and go into the bye week 3-1.

Miami got 3 gift INTs from Favre....I think Brady had his bad game for the month tonight...I expect a couple of good games in a row from Brady followed by a stinker against Baltimore

I am basing it on a few things...last year's meltdown in Miami, our historically bad play in Miami (especially in the earlier part of the year), the Jets exposing of Butler.

If they are going through growing pains, they better get through it soon...our schedule gets rough after the bye.

Fair points and I certainly hope I am wrong.

I could easily see a 3 game losing streak in the upcoming month...Miami,Baltimore and San Diego is a murder stretch for a Pats defense that can't stop a 32 year old RB, can't outdo an opponents defense without its star player and a rebuilding young secondary

Panic will go haywire in here if this team starts the season 2-4 but its VERY possible

Beating up on the Bills, the lions and the Browns of the league is a horrible barometer as to where this team stands. Pats need to beat a few quality opponents on the road before I start to feel better about them.

After the way they played tonight, I wouldnt look past any team. Whether it be Buffalo, Detroit, the Browns, a JV team, or a Nursing home squad.

2-7 on the road since 2008

I start to wonder if the coaching away from Foxboro is coming up with bad gameplans or does the teams talent just not very good against top opponents...our 2 wins on the road last year were against pathetic scrap of the heap teams,we have not impressed on the road since Cassel was QB..Hard to believe

Brady has not been the same road warrior in quite awhile, last years recovery aside that is...

Our offense can outscore most teams, Tom just needs to settle down and stop trying to make so many big plays. Short/medium passes to Welker or our TEs and the occasional deep bomb to Moss.

And our defense will get better as the season goes on. We're going to have to get some help for Butler though. Butler Island is not a good idea. :lol2:

Blowing out one of the leagues worst team, in Foxboro, is not much of a consolation prize.

I have no idea why this team is so bad on the road either. They were 8-0 last year at home and 2-6 last on the road.

And one of the games, which as we all know was in England, was not really an away game. In my mind the only team they beat on the road last year was the bills.

Last years three big games, IMO, at Jets, at Colts, and playoff game against Ravens. That adds to the pain of today's loss. Pats haven't won a big game, certainly on the road, in a while.

Maybe get the D some confidence? I dunno. A win is always good as long as the Pats don't F it up.
