Fred Taylor is ok, but will he last the season?

I would still rather see Morris with the ball than BJGE.

Maybe they are trying to keep Morris healthy for when Taylor get's hurt.

One thing for sure.... One of our first 4 picks in next years draft better
be a RB.

Yup, that'll fix all our problems.

wouldn't mind another rb but doesn't really matter when you run it well early and just seem to forget about the run and force the ball to one person. for some reason brady seemed to look for just moss all game today. fred was running real well and then just disappeared?

Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama. Nick Saban is the coach.

But really, not all the fault is the RB in today's game. It's the OL ability to open up a crevice and the type of running play schemed by the OC, Obrien.

So far, I am not impressed with Obrien's play calling.

foolish. The running game is not the problem.

1) Too enamored with the long ball. A direct issue with Moss on the team. Sorry. It's true.

2) What happened to the best screen play team in the league? Christ almighty! Screen for gods sake.

3) This nameless OC sucks.

4) Darius Butler had a horrific game. Ellis Hobbs-esque. The Bodden injury looms large.

5) I still think Chung sucks in coverage.

6) TE immense in the game - heck, stop going to them? WTF?

7) Defensive front gassed easily.

No, what we need is a QB and a coaching staff the utilizes the bullets they have in the gun. Ball control dink and dunk. Just imagine what Charlie Weis would do with Wes, baby Wes, Gronk, Hernandez, Crump.............

I'm with you....

BJGE ran hard I thought. Depending on the seriousness of Faulks injury I think we will see Morris as the 3rd down back next week. Also, Woodhead? will probably be seeing some playing time next week.

We wont be really addressing the RB situation with a long term fix this year. I think the Oakland pick next year will be used on a RB

Lets see what Danny Woodhead can do before we go looking for another runningback.

Yup..... your right !
Our RB may not be the top priority, but BJGE is not going to take
us to the promise land.

same old thing again- going to moss deep way too much- goign to him too much period- he was covered find someone who is open-
he got the nice TD now spread the ball around some
The TE use them more than just in the red zone-
edleman use him more-
Brady screws himself some always just looking at Moss
done that before and is doing it now!
and i agree the running game could use some more

It may well be true but it's certainly not Moss' fault if so. That fault lies at the feet of the guy calling the plays and/or the QB tossing the balls.

I still say Pats will have trouble making the playoffs

What happened to Fred Taylor? He looked OK at the start.

ATT YDS TD LG
Rice 21 43 0 7
McClain 4 6 0 3
Flacco 4 2 0 1
McGahee 6 -2 1 1

Guess the Ravens need some more backs too right? I actually would like an Arian Foster type back but its not happening this season. The Jets stuff the run, plain and simple.

Read more: I never said we needed another back, I said the running game was a problem. And the facts show it. That we couldn't run the ball meant that we had to play pass happy cowboy quarterback and we got burnt bad. We should have been able to run better against a line without their starting NT.

Let's hope not. Their best bet is to pick up a proven RB in free agency or a trade if one becomes available. That's much more preferable to BB attempting to draft an RB. Not really impressed with their RB picks the last...i don't know....FOREVER.

Names....?

foolish. The running game is not the problem. BS. The Running game was horrid with BJGE and was all but forgotten (again) in the 2nd half. Doing that doesn't help the team and makes them one dimensional

1) Too enamored with the long ball. A direct issue with Moss on the team. Sorry. It's true.
This is as much Brady as it is Moss
2) What happened to the best screen play team in the league? Christ almighty! Screen for gods sake.
Did you miss that the Jets are really good against screens because they play in Man coverage... Guess not.
3) This nameless OC sucks.
His name is Bill O'Brien.

4) Darius Butler had a horrific game. Ellis Hobbs-esque. The Bodden injury looms large. About the only sensible thing you've said.

5) I still think Chung sucks in coverage. Yep.. he's not good there.. Not sure why they were using him there instead of Meriweather.

6) TE immense in the game - heck, stop going to them? WTF? Yep.. It's either Brady, O'Brien or a combination.

7) Defensive front gassed easily.
When they are on the field for most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters, that happens. Didn't help that the offense couldn't produce much of anything.

As Rob said, it's looking like trading Maroney might have been pre-mature. Faulk went down with an injury due to a low hit. Taylor say maybe 5 snaps in the second half. The O-line did pretty poorly on several runs, with the defense 3-5 yards into the backfield. Way too inconsistent. It's an issue. Anyone who thinks otherwise just isn't paying attention.
