Relax. You should have seen this loss coming.

The Jets are not as good as they looked today and the Patriots are not as bad as they looked today.

Not until the 2nd half, at least. Definitely not after Revis went down.

As I posted in the other thread.

Patriots beat the Bengals
Bengals beat the Ravens
Ravens beat the Jets
Jets beat the Patriots

How can anyone make a definitive statement on any of the above teams with that order of events. It's called parity.

In b4 merge.

They're 1-1. 14 games left. They'll get better!

Please explain why we should have expected such a lop-sided loss.

I never gave up on the Patriots. I just gave up on all these stupid Patriots fans that gave up back in the 2nd quarter. You guys suck.

I'd just like to say that Aaron Hernandez played a helluva game. :rocker:

That is all.

Worst part is that all the media will be going gaga for Rex and Sanchez this week. Don't know who to root for next week when they play the Dolphins.

Him and Gerard Warren are today's MVPs.

Im not gonna overreact but you guys gotta admit that the Pats 2nd halves performances have been pretty frustrating for some time now. Im just mad that they made Sanchez like a legit QB today & Rex looking arrogant as ever haha

Repost from Game thread.

Thought I'd get here before the Jets fans crash the board.

Relax. Today, the Jets were a better team, but it's a long season. I have the Pats at 10--6 and I'm not moving off that.

Our defense is young so don't put it on Butler; he will learn from today.

BJGE probably doesn't belong out there as much as he played today. I wonder what happened to Taylor.

Gostkowski has to be automatic on kicks of less than 40 yards and I think that's potentially a problem. Without #4, there was no Dynasty. It didn't make a difference today, but eventually it will.

Brady is inconsistent now; great for periods but off at other times. He's 33. With the right pieces I am 100% confident that he has another SB in him, but the pieces will have to come together in a hurry if he's going to win it this year. Remember: Elway is the only QB to win an SB past the age of 35 and only Bradshaw and Montana have won more than Tommy, who lost what SHOULD have been HIS fourth on a fluke catch. I'm NOT saying he won't do it, just that the pieces around him have to come together. It could still happen this year.

I'm not giving up and neither should you.

So, pour another drink (Gin and Tonic, very, very light on the tonic, was my choice).

Don't post anything you'll regret. These are the New England Patriots.

Beat the Bills. Give the Jets credit. Don't trash our guys. Move on. If necessary, drink heavily. I'm off to get another gin (and tonic, of course).

No d movement pre-snap, abandoning the middle of the field in the second half on offense. This coaching staff just resorts back to the same lame playcalling as last year.

It was a game that should have been won. Right from that very first take back of the Fred Taylor run. We made mistakes. We messed up big time in the 2nd half with Brady throwing bombs that were way off target. Butler Had a terrible game and made mental errors.

Game over. There will be plenty to work on over the course of the week and we will smoke Buffalo this Sunday. The Jets beat us but we are tied 1-1. Not a big deal. They are going down later this season. The Patriots are Hungry.

OK it is not so much that they lost the game, What concerns me is that:

The pats secondary is no better than it was last year. I don't see it getting better.

The trend of second half meltdowns continues from last year.

Well played to the Jets, the better team won at a canter. Good luck until we meet in Foxboro :)

In no particular order:

1. Until the Pats actually IMPROVE in the 2nd half consistently, this is not an elite team. All else is commentary.

2. Brady OVERTHREW more long balls than he underthrew. He'll be fine.

3. Jets' defense got a lot more effective with Revis out and resulting scheme change. Hmm.

4. I don't wholly understand how the pass rush could look so effective at times yet the pass defense so ineffective. Probably it's because it generally wasn't on the same plays. ;)

5. RB health is a concern.

6. So is guard health.

7. So is Darius Butler.

Our loss to the Jets wasn't even close to as bad as the Jet's loss to the Ravins. Any word on Kevin Faulk?

Offense will be fine with Brady and the new TEs+Moss+Welker.

Hope the Defense can come around.

Better play calling will help.

Just an overall poor effort. Offense, Defense, ST's and coaching. You really can't pin it on any one play or team. Things that stick out for me are Butlers playing and the offense play calling. I think the linemen did a decent job and so did Fred Taylor when he played.

Good game by the Jets today. They were more hungry in the 2nd half and executed a whole lot better than the Pats today.

I just hope Kevin Faulk is going to be ok. I hated seeing him get hurt. Hope it's not serious.
