It's become obvious that the players do pay attention to the media coverage surrounding them. Many of the players, including TB, Vince, butler, guyton, mccourty, etc are on twitter... Some several times a day... Is it that far fetched to think they may browse patsfans?

Folks whom I respect and Ian :) have said that yes players and players' families sometimes read this board.

Mike Reiss has mentioned this forum in his blog. (though obviously, he is not a player).

If there was forum dedicated to talking about ME, I would read it.

I have to figure many of them read it.

Damn, you caught me

Of course, and they're all a bunch of homers.

when I was in HS I was a nationally ranked cross country runner. I religiously read everything that people were saying about me on forums.

I can't see the Patriots spending much time on these forums though. These guys get their first taste of celebrity when they are in high school - by now they probably don't care what people think.

Twitter is different, because they can communicate with other players (and not just to trash talk). I hear many of the corners have mentors on other teams who they ask for advice about the game and tells regarding specific recievers, and things like that.

Exactly, put yourself in the player's shoes and try to predict whether you would check this place out, I think I definitely would time to time.

Sucks for guys like Wilhite and Maroney lol

Imagine how many Jets read this board, since they think that media perception wins football games.

You got me, I'm Randy Moss.

Strait Cash Homie and soforth.

I'm Tom Brady irl.

Who do you think started the "Maroney made of glass" comments?

Allright I'll 'fess up. I'm Bill.

We knew that.

lol.
Post 1- That guy can run a long way in a short period of time.
Post 2- Yeah, I saw that. He can run a long way in a short period of time.
Post 3- I concur.

And then, of course, the necessary debate would follow.

Post 4: I think he just takes a short period of time to run a long way, not so sure it's a matter of running a long way in a short period.

Post 5: Yeah, I agree. Posts 1 and 2 are moronic. Everyone knows it's more important just to take a short period of time to run a long way.

Post 6: You're all full of ****. What he does is get from here to there real fast.
...

Post 7: But remember, that was unofficial time. In a real event he'd probably be slower due to gameday pressure, etc.

Post 8: And the track wasn't properly surfaced, either. If he had a proper grass surface, he'd be faster.

Post 9: And safer.

Post 10: Concur.

Post 11: remember, though that this was on FESPN. Who can believe that stuff anyway?
