OT: Manning hurt?

there's something about being the team that loses the superbowl. we were fantastic in 2007 and then the first pass of 2008 and Brady tears his knee apart and still we go 11-5, but don't make it to the playoffs.

there was a segment on sportcenter about this the other day... "the curse"

He is not on the injury report. Could be a rumor spread by Peyton himself to excuse his piss poor play against the Texans.

As much as I love when the Pats are able to beat the Colts, I like it because they are such a good team and it means we are too.

He's a goober, but Manning is one of the best to play, and I hate seeing guys that have a chance to be historically great lose games or years to injury (even if it just makes them less effective than usual).

I hope he's 100%, otherwise it's like when the Colts beat us with Cassel at QB... meaningless.

Piss poor day?
Didn't he pass for over 400 yards?!
Got a couple TDs, too.

Remember what happened to Brady the season after he lost the Super Bowl? I think I called a Manning injury a while ago. I just thought it would be from Bernard Pollard week 1 ;)

I heard he has a bruised Ego....:p

I don't buy it. He didn't play as good as his number indicated last Sunday, but he looks like the same old Manning. I guess they could be concerned about his future with the neck thing.

Maybe his trust has been hurt!

No refs throwing flags randomly ;)

He completed 40 passes, threw over 400 yards, 3 TD's, and looked outstanding.

If true you have to wonder if this will add urgency to getting his deal done.

I surely wouldn't say "outstanding". The numbers are great, but while the game was close he didn't play all that well. There were two dropped interceptions and most of the yardage came at the end, when the Texans jus wanted the Colts to run the clock for them.

That being said, an average game for Peyton Manning is a fantastic game for 95% of quarterbacks. He looked like himself, despite being absolutely abused by Mario Williams.

I didn't see the game. I was watching a different game at the time. (pats-bengals) I just knew the Colts lost, so I assumed he had a bad game.

My opinion is that we have more than had our share / turn of serious injuries. It's time some other teams get some attention from Murphy of Murphy's Law fame.

No one will remember whether manning played or not. Does anyone outside of NE remember that a fluke catch won the SB in 07? No i don't think so.

I don't care about everyone else. I'm speaking about myself as a fan. I won't take nearly as much pleasure in beating the Colts without Manning as I would with him.

Manning had close on 200 yards at half time, despite the Colts WR's doing their best to drop passes.

I can't stand the guy, but he was superb on Sunday. No question.
