My girlfriend and I are flying into Boston from Toronto on Oct. 28. Got a great deal from Air Canada; direct flight, round trip, $285cdn / ticket.

Right now, I've reserved four nights at Merlowe... its located in Cambridge = $944cdn for the four nights :s

So first, does anyone know of a promotion code or site that offers good hotel rates? Any hotel located in Back Bay, North Boston, South Boston, etc is asking for over $300 per night. I'm willing to spend in the 200 +/- range per night.

Sporting Itinerary
- Thursday night, I purchased two tickets to the Leafs v Bruins game. I got the student tickets... does anyone know if I have to provide a Student ID to the stadium staff? Don't worry, I'm a student!
- Also, after the game, are there any bars I should consider going to?

- Sunday @ 415pm, I'd like to attend the Patriots game... HOWEVER, right now I'm finding it almost impossible to find tickets. And here comes my rant: I went to stubhub, ebay, craigslist, etc... and have found tickets, but when tickets face value is $75, and are being sold for 150-175, I can't buy them. Living in Toronto, I understand the marking up of tickets - Leaf ticket prices are insanely over-priced to begin with, but then you have scalpers marking them up 100% - crazy!

So, what I truly need here is someone who has season tickets, or knows someone with season tickets that can help me score 2 tix to the Pats/Vikes game... I am willing to spend above face value, but within reason.

Any helpful travel tips, i.e. stores, restaurants, or places to visit during my stay are also welcomed!

Thanks Patsfans

Son, you're dreaming.

Grab those two tickets for $150-175 each and consider yourself lucky. Normally you can get them at that price, but throw in you're talking interconference against Favre.

The only thing working in your favor to keep the prices under $200 is that it's Halloween night and that some young families/parents would be out of the market.

P.S. Comparing NHL (82 games) to the NFL (16 games) for tickets is not equivalent. If you're paying $30 for an October Bruins-Leafs game and think $150 for a Patriots-Vikings(Favre) game is too much, then I congratulate you on being a diehard hockey fan. 50% of the entire North American continent could name the Patriots QB. Less than 30% of the BOSTON POPULATION can name one player on the Bruins.

$75 tickets are SRO , aren't they?

If you can't afford the tickets or rufuse to pay scalpers money, but want the game experience, I suggest that you go to the game without tickets. Get to the CBS sportsbar early and get yourself situated so you can watch the game on the jumbo outside the stadium.

That might work for you.

That's actually a great idea, Nut. 2_Law_4 would get all the tailgating/social fan experience of the lots, get all the sound (or lack thereof ;) ) of the stadium during the game and be able to eat, drink and be waited on.

Only thing is I wouldn't drive there. Try to take the train from Boston. Check the schedules, one leaves just after the game (45 minutes??? 1 hour???). The trick will be to get out there in time to get a good spot at the outside jumbo screen.

MBTA > Riding the T > Patriots

Even though this is considered a "marquee matchup:, hence the 4:15 time, there are more tix available for this game than others. Given it's halloween, any parent with kids can't do both (especially YOU'RE THERE FOR THE ENTIRE GAME! ...RIGHT tOM)

So tell me, just how smoking hot is your girlfriend? PM me, I may be able to help.
