Edelman Returned To Practice This Week. With Many Different Offensive Formations, 2 TE Set, Empty Backfield Spread Etc Do You Think We Would See Both Welker & Edelman On A Down Together? How Can Edelman Be Used?

In a word, yes.

Everyone is talking about whether Revis takes Moss and CroDaddy takes Welker, or CroDaddy takes Moss and Revis takes Welker.

The REAL question is who will cover Edelman? Wilson???? If so, then who covers Tate???
The beauty of the Pats going 4-wide this weekend is that two of our WR's are superior slot guys so getting it out quickly if there's intense pressure shouldn't be a problem for Brady.

Throw in the 3 headed TE Monster and a healthy KFaulk and I'd say that the smartest QB on earth has a plethora of options for whatever pass defense NY throws against him. I'm still not sold on our OL, so the importance of quick and correct decision making by Tom is critical this week.

BTW, why not see PRC go nuts in the halfback position also?

I think there will absolutely be packages with both players in them. Spread formation with 4 wide receivers would like have either Edelman or Hernandez in the second slot position depending on matchups. Aside from that, they may use Edelman over Tate in certain situations if they think his skill set matches up better against a particular corner.

Also, I'm envisioning a 5 "wide" formation with Gronk and Crumpler lined up wide left with Welker behind them (like on the 1st Welker TD against the Bengals), and Moss lined up with the Edelman behind him on the other. Brady scans, sees which side might have a blocking mismatch and runs a quick screen to Welker on Edelman. No way for the blitz to get there in time, and blockers out front for whichever he chooses.

They can get really creative with this group.

I personally believe that Edelman will be the beneficiary of the tight defenses Wrecks will impose on Moss and Welker. Edelman will own the center of the field....15 yards deep. He has the quickness to cut and the strength to break tackles. He will be a difference maker on Sunday

China? :confused:

Fantastic news on Edelman.

The key to the Pats offense, IMO, is shftyness. Revis is limited with a hamstring. My guess it that a tough SOB like Revis will do just fine running full speed in a straight line. It's the quick cuts where he'll be limited.

On his Facebook site, yesterday Edelman posted the Pats video showing him on the practise field

he is not a twin.... 2 different speeds.

Welker = quicker

Edelman=faster

It will be good getting him back:):):)
