It has become very clear who heads the Patriots Psychological War Department....Mr. Bruschi. Oh sure, he walks down the street glad-handing local fans. Poses for photos with soccer moms. Signs autographs for Jerry from Somerville. Fulfills media obligations. But this former Patriots legend is under assignment. Self imposed? Possibly. Under marching orders from his former commander? Does anyone really know that answer?
What we do know is clear. Teddy has infiltrated the "national sports media complex"...a ministry devoted to the destruction of all Patriots' accomplishments. He has been granted a platform to reveal the inner machinaries that lie inside Fort Gillette.
Sure Agent Bruschi has played his role well. Criticize the defense. Question decision making. Well played Agent Bruschi. The first stage of his mission is complete.
But stage two of this war is now upon us and AB has a new directive....Battle Psych Ops. Unify Patriot locker room. Distract and divide opponent.
His Week 1 mission:
1) Lower expectations
2) Mentally damage opposing QB
Check and Check
His Week 2 mission:
1) Create media distraction for opposition
2) Mentally damage opposing QB
Operation underway
The fact that ESPN is complicit is beyond brilliant. Clearly the Soap Opera Network is thrilled that Bruschi is creating weekly drama. Who will Teddy call out next week....stay tuned. After the break, see what the Jets Coach, the Jets QB, the Jets RG, the Jets O Coordinator, and the Jets owner all have to say about Our Man, ESPN Analyst Teddy Bruschi.
Wait....I'm picking up something. An encripted message has just left the Gillette Bunker for Agent Bruschi...talk about "The Hair"....talk about "The Hair".

And now back to our regularly scheduled discussions:
Felger is a moron. Maroney is a bust. Patriots good, world bad. The D sucks. The D's great.

I would be most pleased if Tedy Bruschi would just shut his considerable pie-hole and enjoy his retirement.

No one gives a rat's arse what Tedy thinks anymore.

He is not a part of this team. He is just another media idiot now, by his own choice.

Coach BB even ripped his pictures off the wall at Gillette. LOL!

All that said, Tedy and Rodney Harrison do both act like have an axe to grind, don't they?

"national sports media complex"...that's hilarious!

You forgot the obligatory Mankins " can we sign and trade" reference.....

I do. I like his analysis, and I like the way he speaks his mind without the Shlereth over-board crap. He is great on NFL Live.

And he (and Troy Brown) are still plugged into the Pats. Their pictures may be down, bu their antennae are still up.

His stories of what it was like, stories he could not have told while he was a player, are fascinating.

Why anyone would prefer he not be an ESPN analyst is beyond me.

Assuming you are just kidding this is an awesome thread. lol

You should send the idea to BANG Cartoons.

This weeks Bruschi/Reiss podcast was great.....Told a story about BB explaining to the younger players the history of the Pats/Jets and why the organization hates the Jets. Good stuff

I completely disagree, Bruschi has insight into the Pats like no one else in the media. Working for the media doesn't make someone an idiot, saying stupid things does, and Bruschi actually has very intelligent things to say.

I'll always care what Tedy has to say. Troy too.

Considering most of those other talking heads suck, why wouldn't I want to listen to Bruschi and Rodney? I mean, if you're a Patriots fan.

:D Great thread.

...and for you Tedy haters.... really?? Just leave. The guy was an integral part of building a dynasty and now offers a great window into the convoluted patriots locker room. His insight is always no-bs straightforward and intelligent, and how can a few allies in the media hurt? Afterall, the rest of the world hates us, that is clear. I don't understand some people.

Think about our other media alum...Rodney Harrison. He ***** slaps Tony "Can I get an Amen" Dungy on a weekly basis. No question Agent Harrison has been in contact. If it wasn't clear before, it certainly is now. Herr Belichick seeks world domination

I love it. It must be driving fans of other teams crazy. Patriots dominating on the field and now ex-Pats invading the airwaves.

Ernie Adams is his handler.

the title of this thread made me think momentarily that we resigned bruschi

Thumbs up to Teddy Bruschi! Loved him as a player, love him as an "analyst". Thumbs up for this thread too!
