There are a lot of astonishingly insightfull FootBall minds around these parts, my defenestration of the more dubious elements notwithstanding...

It seems to me that the absolute Crux of Logan Mankins' Value to this Extraordinary Dynasty...is the same as every last one of the 53, and those who might join the 53: How he performs against the best of the best, on the Highest Stage, when All The Chips Are Down.

***

I'm not smart enough, not yet, to feel like I can watch game tape of Super Bowl 42 and declare "Mankins FAILED!!" OR to declare "Mankins NAILED his assignments, and it was the O Line, as an whole ~ or, more to the point: Josh McDaniels!! ~ that was foiled by Coach Spagnuolo's EPIC Game Plan!"

What this Thread IS...is an unalloyed, unadulterated, and unapologetic request to my Fellow FootBall Fanatics...to EDUCATE me, as to what YOU saw, that Unspeakable Night...and how it manifests the Championship Impact Value...of one Logan Mankins.

Umm, what? He got manhandled. But so did the rest of the Pats OL. That Giant's DL in 07 is one of the best I've seen play in recent memory. But what we should care about is the Mankins of today. I would hope that he would have improved by then. He ain't worth 8 mil per year I can tell you that. If he wants to sign with the Pats he better just fire his dumbass agent and let that guy take the blame for the PR snafu with Kraft.

Well, really, what is there to say about this game other than the obvious? Here now is the obvious, in colored ink:

....

Read it all. You may want to do it without any sharp objects nearby.

Unoriginal did a breakdown of the OLine play in that game and the long and short of it is that Mankins sucked it up. He was the worst offender on the line all night.

I won't go into it further or link to the thread. I think me dissecting & analyzing that game would be akin to me performing an autopsy on my dog if it were to pass. Not healthy.

The link is above for masochists and people looking for reasons to kill themselves.

Well im no help here...

Im my life, i've watched video of humans being eaten alive by wild animals, war footage of people getting their limbs blown off, prison footage of an inmate being held down while another psycho stabbed him to death, and a woman stepping in front of a train that obliterated her... yet I have never, nor will ever, watch that game ever again. I can not stomach it.
