Collective PatsFans Wisdom on how to attack Jets defense?

I am wondering what the collective wisdom of the PatsFans community is about how best the Patriots offense should attack the Jets defense this weekend. If "we" were the Patriots Offensive Coordinator, what would be our game plan be to rack up at least 24 points (that I think will be needed to ensure a Pats win)? Thoughts?

Step 1. Identify which WR is being covered by Revis and which one is being covered by Cromartie.

Step 2. Throw the ball to the WR being covered by Cromartie.

They only have 1 good CB, so that's where you'd start. And if you're going to run, doing it in Jason Taylor's direction isn't a bad idea.

last yr in week 2 they went with the playcalling card route with quick short passing game to negate the rush. i think they go the same way hopefully not the playcalling card thing which i think confused themselvs.
Dont think screens will work a lot because they are too fast on defense IMO to try screens a lot.
iam just worried about the pass protection. Even in the 2nd game where we won big in foxboro, our offense struggled after the 1st half .the sanchez ints masked some of the troubles we had in the game.

2 TE (Hernandez, Gronkowski)
1 RB (Faulk)

Shotgun, Faulk out into the flat, Moss taking Revis up field (maybe even a safety) Which means Cromartie or Wilson on Welker - dream matchup there a rookie or someone slow in and out of his breaks, Welker running a quick slant.

Hernandez up the seam taking a safety or linebacker, Gronk chipping a pass rusher then running an out taking a safety or linebacker into coverage.

By my reckoning this creates 3 mis-matches (Welker, the TEs and Faulk), use this formation as the base and dump off passes and screens take precedent over the run game which the Jets will be able to stop.

That's how I'd do it anyway.

It would be doable, definitely, but you'd probably be splitting Hernandez out wide in more of a WR-type role.

I think that would help cover up for the Jets biggest weakness on defense: Their #2 and #3 cornerbacks.

I come out in a standard 3 wide, 1 TE (Gronk or Crumpler), 1 RB (Faulk or Taylor).

TE always either stays in to block or chips on his way out.

RB always either stays in to block, or goes out for a screen or dumpoff, perhaps audibling to whichever side you think the blitz is coming from. Toss it out past the blitz.

With three wide, you've got Revis taking away one of them, and attack the single coverage on the two subpar cover guys in Cro and Wilson.

Spread them out - The Jets require a lot of blitzing to pressure the QB. By spreading the offense out, it will take more defenders away from the line and rushing the passer.

Quick passing - With the Jets blitzing so much and leaving the CBs on an island a lot, the center of the field will have a lot of openings. That means you do some quick passes and pick up 5-10 yards a lot if you are connecting with receivers.

Use the Jets' aggressiveness against them - Goes hand in hand with the quick passing. The Jets can overpursue and take themselves out of position if you throw a lot of screen, short slants, etc.

Pick on Cromartie - The guy is a boom or bust player and for every INT he gets, he gives up 4-5 big plays. I like those Odds with Brady.

No, no, no staying in to block, no pro set, and no max protect. They will always send in one more blitzer than you can block. That's how good Rex Ryan is. For all his blathering and obnoxiousness, he is still a defensive genius. The key to beating it is to get rid of the ball before the scheme is fully realized.

Same type of gameplan as against Pitts/Ravens spread them out avoid Revis. Revis was playing 1 CB position change formations to move Moss around. multiple TE are fine. 3-5 step drops get the ball out. I would consider 7 step drop max protect if we get Moss on Wilson/Cromartie take a few shots.

Running game draw plays to counter blitz pkgs. Not too many screens other than slip screens to wideouts.

I definitely like the Hernandez matchup; Cromartie matches up pretty well to him, physically, except for the whole part where he's afraid to tackle. I could see his physicality being a tougher matchup for Cromartie than Tate's speed, if we decided to use him as a de facto wideout.

As for the other TEs, I definitely see Crump and Gronk playing a role, but I'd be kinda surprised to see them on the field together a lot. The best way to counter a blitz is to get receivers out wide, so that they have to send guys out to cover them. That makes the pass rush a lot more predictable, since there are fewer places where it can come from.

All of that said, nothing would surprise me. I'm sure the coaches will find an interesting way to go after them. With their D-Line depth already so thin, Gholston might actually have to play meaningful snaps at DE. If that's the case, I certainly hope they go big and run right at him.

In last year's 31-14 win, Welker caught 15 balls and played in 77% of the offensive snaps. Moss played in 91 %.

Overall, the team had 35 rushing attempts.

How's that?

BTW, the Pats' first score in that game was a pick-6 by Leigh Bodden.

ETA: Overall the plan in last year's win seemed to be to pull in the linebackers by establishing the run and passing to the flat, then to sneak Welker in behind to exploit the hole in the coverage behind the LB's. Patriots offense 101?

On defense I think they need to come out similar to the fronts they displayed against Cincy. Carson has confidence and read issues, and Belichick exposed them. Imagine what a non-declarative defense will do against Sanchez. Kid's a nincompoop.
