Brady calls out Gillette Stadium fans

Making him the 845th New England Patriot to complain about the Gillette fans. Cue the season-ticket holders whining about ticket prices, parking prices, parking & traffic woes, etc. (which could be legit complaints, but have little to do with what Brady is talking about...) in 3...2...1....

While I agree with Brady about Gillette, I think the Jets stadium was fairly empty in the fourth quarter of Monday's game. I saw plenty of empty seats and the place was as quiet as church in a close game.

Its an unfortunate reality that theres a certain fan Mr. Kraft has to bring to the stadium that doesn't neccessarily roar the team on but helps to pay Toms wages.

IMO he should have said something about fan noise also. It was dead quiet after they got up.

In the old Foxboro Stadium with metal benches, people stayed the whole game. In big, comfy Gillette Stadium, fans leave at the first sign of a blowout by either team or a decent lead by the home squad. Such a different crowd than it used to be. I almost wish they went back to the benches again so people would stand-up and scream when the defense is on the field. Gilllette has NO home field advantage as far as the fans are concerned.

Okay, I'll bite. I thought it was going to say that the crowd wasn't loud at Gillette on Sunday, and I was going to strongly disagree, then suggest that Brady take some of his new salary and close in the open end of the stadium, which will fix the problem .

However, his complaint was about people leaving early, and while a lot did, a good amount stayed too. The irony is, once Brady has the game in hand a lot of people leave early to get a start on the parking lot that is Route 1 after the game. So, he should either make games more exciting (kidding!) or work with Mr. Kraft to come up with a solution to the ridiculous traffic problem that plagues Gillette Stadium (not kidding). PS - Jets fans leave early too, at least they did when I went to a game there years ago, and, you guessed it, Brady had the game well in hand by the 3rd quarter.

For every other NFL stadium that I have been to (and I've been to at least 1/2 dozen others) getting out is not an hours-long process, so people probably feel better about staying until the end of a game, even when the outcome is well in hand. Hardly anyone leaves Pats games early if there is a real contest going on.

I think enclosing the open ends of the stadium and lowering ticket prices is not a bad idea at all.

It's all about the stadium's location. Kraft didn't have to put it there, but he chose greed over having loud fans that stay until the end of the game. JMHO.

I love it though when we make unlikely come-backs like we did against Buffalo last year for example. I can only imagine the regret those "fans" had when they heard everyone that stayed going crazy when we won. They deserved to have missed it.

Do people tailgate after the games @ Gillette? I'm an out of town fan and have only been to 2 games.

But I am a Penn State season ticket holder. We usually tailgate for about an hour or so after the game. Then you probably have to wait in traffic for 10-15 minutes. There are 110,000 people at the game, but some are students that walk back to apartment and dorms.

It's not like the City of Boston spat in his face or anything. Some of us were here in the mid-to-late 90's. We remember.

So true! That game was a classic "fan" experience for me because there was this drunk Buffalo fool in our section running his mouth the whole game, then as the Pats started to come back, he got into a fist fight with some Pats fans and security came and hauled him out, cuffs and all, and probably as he was being placed in the tank, his team lost!! What a bad day for that fool! And a good one for us Pats fans who stay until the end! (Although, I admit to more early exits these days it there is a blowout one way or the other, and I did leave after the on-side kick on Sunday).
