That reminds me of how many passes Faulk dropped in his first few years.
He missed a couple on Sunday, too, surprisingly. That one 3rd down grab on the sideline was a beauty, though.

I was hoping that Maroney would follow Faulk as our third down back. Basically, following a similar career path.
What really grips my trigger about the maroney disaster is some of the know-it-all homer clowns in here who sit on a message board and think they know a damn thing more than former players like Troy and bruschi who not only put their jocks on in the same room as lomo but also were on the field and practice sessions for over 3 years together - when they say that maroney was a bust and underachiever over these wasteful 4 years I would more believe they were more knowledgable than some moron who comes up with the 4.2 BS excuses as if that means lomo was a real good back
Let's face it ,Addai,Williams and of course MJD were better and are still with their original team - BB just picked the wrong guy here
Get over yourselves, bruschi and Troy have all but said maroney was a bust and still people on a message board on the Internet think they know more
Who would I consider a person with a better opinion of a player?- a message board professor who never put an nfl uniform on before? or a person who had played the game with the player in question...got news for you,it's not even close

It is what it is................
Let the BJGE era begin.
BJGE is a north-south runner if there ever was one, which is a little unusual for a smallish back. He's tough as nails and doesn't fumble. That said, BB's gambling a bit that law firm plus 3 older backs can get us thru this season. Also, I think it's safe to say that one of those top 4 picks next year will be a RB.
Maroney? I always liked him and saw plenty of examples of him powering it between the tackles. But he just couldn't do it consistently enough. We didn't even get a chance to see him this year really, he obviously lost the job during the August 2-a-days. He must have been on thin ice from the off season reviews that BB does, and then didn't come to camp ready to fight for his job.

As long as Maroney runs like Star vs Oakland this season, Im happy.
Just lose Baby.
... Many of the 2010 BB moves seemingly have to do with blowing up the disfunctional locker room culture of the past season. Nothing more difficult to do in an organization and the only cure is geting rid of the bad apples regardless of how they produce for the org.
