NE @ NYJ -doh, no need to explain this one.

MIA @ MIN - no matter how much you may hate Lord Favre, 1-0 division rival vs NFC team, you have to root for the NFC.

BUF @ GB - Division rival vs. NFC. Go NFC.

STL @ OAK - As the owners of the Raiders 1st round pick...Go Rams.

TB @ CAR - Same deal with the Panthers 2nd.

NO @ SF - not nearly as big of deal with the Saints 7th, but still would be nice if it wasn't only a few picks before Mr. Irrelevant.

NYG @ IND - NFC vs AFC. NFC all day. Plus I don't dislike lil bro as much as big bro.

ARI @ ATL - Jets own the Cards 7th round pick. ARI win makes it less valueable.

JAC @ SD - Torn on this one. Mia owns Jags 7th round pick. A Jag win makes that less valuable. But Jax is 1-0, and SD is 0-1 so for the homefield, wildcard races a SD win would be better. I am gonna go with Jax cause I just don't like Norv.

BAL @ CIN -Bal (1-0) vs Cin (0-1, with us having the tiebreaker over them). Go Bengals.

CHI @ DAL - Patriots are America's team. F you Tom Landry.

PHI @ DET - Both 0-1, both in the NFC. I am gonna root for the team that doesn't hate Santa Claus and doesn't have Sen. Comcast as a fan.

KC @ CLE - Logic says root for Browns cause they are 0-1 and KC is 1-0, but I like Scott better than Eric. So to hell with logic.

PIT @ TEN - both in the AFC, both 1-0. I dislike Pitt more than I dislike Tenn.

SEA @ DEN - Dislike both coaches and want to see them fall flat on their face, so that is a push. NFC vs AFC. Go NFC.

HOU @ WAS - AFC vs NFC. Go NFC.

I don't know, the Giants and Colts is one of those games, I wish both team would somehow find a way to lose. I can't root for either of those teams.

Maybe that asteroid that missed us last week will take a U-Turn and come back and hit the Lucas Dome. One can only hope.

In a playoff scenario I would much rather play the Titans than the Steelers so I'll root for the Titans. However with the likes of Porter and Plexiglass not on the Steelers any longer I really don't hate the team quite as much. On the other hand Jeff Fisher is a cheap shot piece of sh!t. If Rodney doesn't get hurt that may have been another SB victory. He cannot lose enough for my liking.

IMO, the Bills and TB are leading contenders for the #1 pick. The more they win, the better the Raiders' pick looks.

This thread is genius! I agree with all of your picks. Please make one every week.

I'm rooting for Buffalo because 1) they aren't intimidating and 2) kind of getting tired of Aaron Rogers when he hasn't done **** besides put up big numbers.

With us now owning Denver's 4th, rooting for SEA is even less of a no-brainer.

NE @ NYJ: Pats, obviously.

MIA @ MIN: Minnesota, obviously.

BUF @ GB: Green Bay, obviously.

STL @ OAK: I think that we're all in agreement that we want JOakland to go 0-16.

TB @ CAR: Tampa winning improves out second round pick. Go Bucs.

NO @ SF: Saints. I like Payton and Brees. I'll root for them anytime they're not playing the Pats.

NYG @ IND: I want to see the Giants D-Line pummel the fivehead, which is a real possibility. Colts starting out at 0-2 would be LOLworthy. Go G-Men.

ARI @ ATL: I couldn't possibly care less.

JAC @ SD: Due to my time in Jacksonville, I'll root for the Jags any day as long as they're not playing the Pats. Jags.

BAL @ CIN: Cincinnati. They're the lesser of the two evils here.

CHI @ DAL: One of my friends is a Cowboys fan and he was obnoxious about them throughout the entire offseason. Bears.

PHI @ DET: Detroit. I want to see that franchise shake it's curse.

KC @ CLE: Kansas City. Want to see Cleveland start out 0-2. Want to see Mangini lose his job.

PIT @ TEN: Tits. Screw Sh!ttsburgh.

SEA @ DEN: Denver. McDaniels over Pete "Christmas" Carroll.

HOU @ WAS: Houston. Want them to start out 2-0 and the Colts to start out at 0-2. That would be great. Plus, Arian Foster is my fantasy running back. He was huge for me in Week 1. I hope he's huge for me in Week 2.

There is a very real possibility that my two least favorite teams in the NFL (Colts and Jets) could be 0-2 after this weekend.

That makes me ridiculously happy.

I agree with this list and your reasons. Especially the bolded:D That would be awesome.

me too......

SD always starts slow and then makes a stretch run, so I'm rooting for Jacksonville for that reason too.

Agree with the OP's list except the last pick. I want HOU to win to give them a better chance of winning the div. I would love it if HOU and TEN made the playoffs.

Very nice weekly thread. But would you consider some threshold beyond which draft pick status is not a factor--e.g. maybe 5th round and up? Rooting for a team based on a 7th round pick status just seems a little... lol, not sure the word... "unstable"? :D

i just want to see improvement from the teams in the same conferences as oakland and carolina do well so those teams have an tougher time. those 1st and 2nd round picks are all i care about... other than our afc rivals of coarse. is it to much to hope carolina is a top 10 and oakland?

Understandable...

As for me, I would LOVE to meet the Giants in the Super Bowl, once again.
