Colts safety Bob Sanders has a torn biceps tendon and is out indefinintely, if not for the season.

Really seems to struggle to stay healthy; be interesting to see if he is still a Colt this time next year (if we have football).

Small guy + bit hitter = lots of injuries. Another guy who is a great player who can't stay on the field.

Guess the mediots will now treat the Colts future defeats in a more sympathetic and understanding manner, unlike how they treated our losses back when Harrison was out.

Well, that sucks too. I don't like to see injuries. It looks more and more likely that the Colts gave Sanders the biggest safety contract at the time for him to play 9 games.

When he was on the field, he changed the game. Speed, range, and a big hitter.

Given his absence, the Colts have done a good job of developing other safeties.

I assume that's about it for him. Another lengthy cycle of rehab, and a high probability that his frame just cannot take the force he generates.

Well that's a shocker. Frankly, if the Colts didn't have a contingency plan in place for this, then it's on them at this point. Sanders' annual season-ender is just a fact of life.

He was one of those difference makers it seems, a guy who seemed to single-handedly shore up the Colts run defense while he was in. We'll see a lot of games like the Houston game (at least running it) now I feel.

That's really a shame. he plays the game the way it should be played. But that position is such a brutal one, Sanders, Reed, Polumalu, how many times have we seen those guys hurt. They are true warriors, but it seems hard to stay healthy when you play that position. I have my fingers crossed for our own warrior Pat Chung. Nobody can keep up 16 tackles a game.
