Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

He's the best in the business, only guy I listen to.

Luckily we get YES and not Comcast SportsNet here in CT, don't need to listen to those guys this board is always complaining about.

Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

Ouch. From superbowl contender to inch away from laughingstock of the league...

Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

i like him too...but hes just strirring the pot. he knows the jets arent as bad as they were last night. but they certainly arent as good as they thought they were. especially without jenkins

Everything Mike is saying is 100% accurate.

The Jets are only letting their people on ESPN NYC radio, The Fan has been frozen out. Mike is a straight shooter but he is probably enjoying this at a certain level.

Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

I revel in the agony of the Jets fans.... ;)

Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

I love how he's showing all of the penalties last night were clear while the ESPN crew were acting like they were horrible.

People seem to forget that the Ravens are actually pretty damn good.

Very good team, some predict superbowl contender and i agree !!!

Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

im not saying what he is saying isnt accurate, but he is overdramatizing it. thats what gets ratings. if the jets came down the field and kicked a game winning field goal everything would be completely different, a totally different spin. "the jets backed up their talk."...."they smacked the ravens."

bottom line, its 1 game. lets go and beat them down sunday. i cant stand them

Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

At first I thought the onstar ad in the Francessa show was for porn

That's sports.

If Tyree doesn't make a catch with his helmet...

What is he saying that's over-dramatic? Their offense was absolutley pathetic and their defense played horrible situational football.

Yes, but a contender wins that game at home.

Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

The reason it's a big deal is because all the barking the team did and Ryan raising the expectation about how good they were and then to put that product on the field was embarrasing..IMO

Re: Mike Francessa is ripping the Jets and Ryan

Yes, but a contender wins that game at home.

Home field advantage is worth roughly 3 points.

Losing to another playoff team by 1 point at home isn't bad. In fact, the team that won the superbowl last year lost by 6 to the bengals at home, and lost by 3 to the friggen raiders.

Are they really though? I know the pundits say that every season, and they certainly have a tough defense when they play with discipline, but that offense has been a work in progress for a long time now. A lot of one step forward, two steps back. I know they slapped us pretty good in January. That had a lot more to do with us than them, as the next week proved. Flacco is an odd dude. Lombardi last night seemed to see what I sensed. At times the broadcast team seemed to be grappling with acknowledging that too. He may have quick feet and a big arm but he's not quick thinking or acting. Holds the ball too long. Appears at times almost oblivious, like he expects to have as much time as he needs to figure something out. The clock in his head is a little variable... If the JETS had anything resembling a decent QB and offense, the Ravens would be 0-1.
