BB on meeting with Moss: "I keep the conversations that I have between the players and myself private, and that’s the way it should stay."
Glad to hear they talked about it; if it was an issue internally, hopefully that's the end of it.
Check out the Patriots Today video on Patriots.com for the lockerroom after the game yeswterday.
Randy Moss sure seemed 180 degrees different from the press conference.

Seems weird right? I guess he's just really trying to make his case to get an extension sooner then later.
From all accounts he's ALWAYS been a great teammate. He hates the media. Just like BB's personality is radically different when he's away from the media, I expect it's similar with Moss.

I know you and I differ on this subject, but during a 2 or 3 game stretch not giving 100% on every play is not being a good teammate. Lets not go back to last year though.
Yesterday was not the time to have a PC like that, it is being selfish and taking away from the win. Instead of not talking at all during TC, have a PC at the end of TC and let it all out then. Dont do it after the first game when the attention should have been on the Pats victory.
His "unhappy" comment was only recently blown out of proportion. He couldn't clarify it during the week as that was preparation time. He didn't want to clarify it week 13 either when all the goons come out and accuse him of being a dog faker because he's "unhappy".
Not even going to comment on what you said first, dont want to get into that again.
As for yesterdays comments it was not the proper time. There are plenty of other times that he could have had his time to rant. Times that dont take away from what the team just did on the field.
I dont think it was his aim to sounding selfish, but he did. He put himself in front of the team. He could have spoken late last week if he wanted. IMO he didnt need to say any of that, let the media think what they want. It shouldnt concern him. If he really felt the need to get all that off his chest, why not do it on a Monday or a Tuesday, not immediately following the opening game of the season.
Take away from who? The media and fans? I know for damn sure the players don't give a rat's arse what the media writes/say about the games. So it affects us fans yes, and that stinks, but let's not pretend his teammates give a damn about all the praise we feel they should have gotten for the great game.
I agree he didn't need to, but when's the last time a human being did -nothing- they shouldn't have done? This really is not a big deal IMO. And talking about it late last week during preparations for game 1 of the regular season would have been worse. There was NO better time to say it, if he had to say it. I'm not going to jump on the guy because he wanted to clarify something even I don't agree that he should have. For all the guy has done throughout his career and specifically here the last 3 years, it's ridiculous at how such a small thing can get people all holier-than-thou.
Takes away from the team first concept. That is what the Patriots are all about; putting the team first. Speaking like he did yesterday after the game was selfish and put himself above the rest of the team.
Lets just say Manning came out and did the same thing...what would your reaction be? A little bit different huh? I agree it isnt that big of an issue because I dont think his play on the field will be effected. I just think it was very selfish of him to put himself above the team. Today or tomorrow would have been a better time to say it and nothing at all would have been even better.
I disagree that he put himself above the team. He clarified something early so that it wouldn't become something the team had to deal with in 10 weeks after a loss. What it means to be about the team is to come to work, and do your job. Moss has obviously continued to do that. A few words after a victory to clear something up, while arguably unnecessary is not being a bad teammate.
My reaction would be indifference. The only things Manning has said that I have blasted him for are throwing teammates under the bus.
I thought he was more talking to us, the fans, trying to make the point that he knows the media is going to keep trashing him but his intention is to try and play at the highest level he can. It's got to be kind of tough that he is one of the team's superstars but takes more abuse from the press than any other player in recent memory. He seems to understand the business realities of his situation also.
I didn't come away with the feeling he was making a statement about the team, or the coach or the owners but he just made the mistake of thinking out loud at what was not really the best time or place or audience to do so.
As a fan, I'm pretty happy with what he said to me and it would be just fine if he were to be back here next year if he still sees things the same way.
