Who'll be the first rookie with his own jersey?

Aside from the preorders of Chung jerseys, the only 2009 rookie with a jersey available is one Julian Edelman.

Which of our fine crop of 2010 rookies do you think will be the first to have his jersey on sale? I chose the players I thought were the most promising candidates.

Not necessarily. I think Spikes actually won the "Most-want-to-see rookie" poll.

I usually avoid rookie jerseys like the plague.

It's a big investment (well, for me)...I get players who have meant something to the team and would still mean something to the team if they were cut tomorrow.

I only buy Jerseys if the player is:

A) Legit and proven (minimum of one season)
B) On contract for at least 3 years when I buy it.


I only recently started collecting Jerseys, I only have two currently (Welker, Brady). Wasn't a fan a few years ago, but they've grown on me.

Yeah, I have a few Bledsoes, a Coates, a Bruschi and a Brady. Also a Ted Johnson I got for cheap at the Pro Shop b/c some dink had gotten the bottom hem of it marked up with ink from a security tag.

BTW, I'm not into jerseys or much else but I do have HUNDREDS of Patriots caps going back to the sixties...and I mean I got some real stupid looking Pats hats for real...I always hated Pat Patriot

Heh, I almost gave up on jerseys for a while. It seemed that every time I got one, the player would leave the team, sometimes under nasty circumstances.

First Bledsoe (1994 with 75 logo - still wear this one to the Razor sometimes), then Milloy, then Law, then I gave up for several years and got a Bruschi jersey during his last season (safe bet, but donated to that Iraq SB party last year). I'm really considering Welker, but Chung is my new binky.

Though, I think Gronk has the best chance for a jersey first. I think the Spikes jerseys are custom orders at this point.

I bought my Chung jersey last black friday, at a sports authority in upstate NY....pretty sure im the first one ever with a Chung jersey. They still have 3 and they had 4 when I bought mine.

Last black Fri was the first in 3 years that I didn't buy one. It was also the first year Modells didn't have their 33% off team apparel coupon. I think I'll just go to Gillette this year. More expensive but better selection.

Well I already have my Spikes jersey, one of those personalized ones. But I voted for Hernandez because I think he has star potential.

Gronk has the guts, but Aaron will get the glory.

They are selling a Gronk and a Spikes in the Patriots ProShop. I wish they had a Mesko jersey that had Zoltan on that back.

I am not sure they will pick one for the first rookie to have his own jersey. I can see Spikes and Gronkowski, the offensive and the defensive players that are becoming fan favorites, as the rookies this year or just after this year who get their own jerseys for sale.

McCourty may take a year or two but he should be getting one in the future...just not this year or after this year.


And are you including Tate in the rookie category since he played so little last year? I could see him easily getting his own jersey sold after the way he played yesterday.
