Looking at Indy getting smoked by the Texans...getting the ball run down their throat, the Cowboys looking like the Cowboys (bad)...the Pats were supposed to be "has beens", Pittsburgh winning...I could go on and on. Just goes to tell you what the "experts" know..."Marino, Cowher, Sharpe, Irvin, Sapp, oh...and the ultimate douchebag...Marshall Faulk!

Again, I know it is one week...but I love seeing these idiots get proven worng. They base their opinions on their "feelings"...

OT: Houston/Colts

Houston ran through the Colts all day long, actually the second half. The RB for the Texans, was an undrafted player a year ago. Ran for 230 plus. On the last TD, the Colts gave up. On defense, Houston was pressuring Manning pretty good. Colts I'm sure will make adjustments, but two things are for sure. Right now, they can not stop the run, and thier offensive line is suspect.

Re: OT: Houston/Colts

Peyton's stats are pretty misleading, the Colts got pooped on.

Re: OT: Houston/Colts

colts have an easy schedule this year. they will proceed to win the next 6 or 7 games and they will become the media favorites again.

Re: OT: Houston/Colts

If Bob Sanders is out for any length of time expect teams to 'copycat' what the Texans did on offense. Most of the Texans yards on the ground came after (surprise), Sanders went out early in the game.

Re: OT: Houston/Colts

Colts got run over, both literally and figuratively. On the other hand it is way too early to write them off. This is still the same team that was knocking on the door of an undefeated season last year, and won as many games as anybody over the last eight or ten years.

This. I am elated the Colts lost today, but I remember how bad they looked early 2008 before reeling off 9 straight wins and how awful their run D was in 2006, thinking that team could never win a SB with how bad they were getting run on. Long way to go. But major props to the Texans, everytime I kept seeing the score pop up at the bottom of the screen all I could think was wow how is Houston going to blow it this time and they finished the job this time.

Re: OT: Houston/Colts

God I love watching the highlights of this game. For one, I love seeing the Colts get their asses beat. For another, Arian Foster is on my fantasy team. Needless to say, he played a huge part in my blowout win today. :D

No freakin' way. I watched that game, and I don't care if Sanders was in or not. Houston was blowing holes in the Colts line a semi could have driven through. Sanders would have helped, but not that much. They RB ran for 231.

Re: OT: Houston/Colts

The colts usually end up with a good regular season record, but the last couple of years they've done so by squeeking out some last minute come from behind victories. Maybe the team is about as good, but if they aren't able to make the big comebacks this year, 13-3 quickly becomes 10-6.

Who knows- it's only one game, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it! :D

Re: OT: Houston/Colts

I hesitate to say the 2nd game of the season is a must win game, but if the Colts start off 0-2...while I wouldn't write them off (as in getting a playoff birth) I don't see them fighting for home field or a bye. Outside their gymnasium in the playoffs they stand no chance.

Polian 2010 draft:

Hughes - Inactive (healthy scratch)
Angerer - Active, 1 ST tackle (covered late onside kick)
Thomas - IR
McClendon - Inactive (healthy scratch)
Eldridge - Active, no stats
Matthews - Inactive (healthy scratch)
Conner - Active, no stats
Fisher - Cut

Ouch :ugh:

Marshall Fdaulk on NFL Network this morning..."The Patriot way is dead"...followed by Michael "I can snort a line with the best of 'em" Irvin..."Patriot way is definitely dead"...blaaaahhh!

Nice to see Faulk wrong again

When your QB throws 60 times, that will usually mean that you were trailing for most of the game and you lost.

Indeed, see Palmer's numbers today... or Cutler's for his entire career.

I drafted Ben Tate before his broke his ankle and was in the market to get Foster. The bastard who took a punt on him was throwing all sorts of ridiculous propositions before he'd even had a carry on the whim to get Foster from him.

I tell you what. Antonio Gates and the Baltimore Ravens better play damn well.

thinking that team could never win a SB with how bad they were getting run on.

Remember, though, that team played against the Chicago Bears. Pretty much everybody and their dog had that AFCCG pegged as the de facto Super Bowl if Chicago won the NFCCG.

Ouch :ugh:

So let's see about the Patriots' draft:

McCourty: 5 tackles, 1 pass defended
GRONK: TD
Spikes: 1 tackle, 2 assists
Cunningham: Active, no stats
Price: inactive (scratch)
Hernandez: 45-yard reception
Mesko: 43-yard punt
Deaderick: inactive (scratch)
Welch, Larsen, Robinson: cut
Weston: IR

Just a wee bit better. :)

To be fair, our 2008 draft after we were in the 2007 SB looked as bad as Indy's 2010 draft looked today. Drafting 31st to fill spots on a team good enough to make the SB last year will tend to produce that sort of result.
